Blim also recorded this video from 2K Sport's NBA 2K6. It shows a match from the attract mode, and god, I must say - it clearly must be one of the best looking next gen games so far. Anyways, keep in mind that it's still not finished, which you will notice. Many times.
Update by blimblim: In case you do not know what a beta version is, it's obvious that the shorts problems, the duplicate characters, some players faces not detailed and the ninja cheerleaders will all be corrected in the final release. Just concentrate on what is actually working instead of pointing out what is wrong in this build. At least we now know for sure that the footage we saw last week was really realtime, the devs only choose to show only finalized content in these, as should be.
Update 2 : 2K Games contacted me to remove this video. Sorry.

Why are these all great quality but with NO sound? Would like to hear something from the sound also beause that's also becoming very important in games these days and it's alot nicer to watch a video with some sounds anyways

I doubt you'd want to hear the audio from this game anyway, IMO, the commentary VO is horrible

I did not have the right cable to get direct feed sound, and getting anything out of the headphones was simply impossible.

The only thing I'm dissapointed with here is the crowd, it looks exactly like last gen's forerunner crowd. Hopefully they'll update this a bit when the closeups are taken, otherwise it'll look a bit out of place.

Are you kiddin ? The crowd look like early ps2 main characters ! Well, maybe not PS2, but they're in par with good psone characters ! current gen, the crowd is not even in 3D !

The crowd is in 3D. You need to go look at some screenshots of the xbox version. Huge improvement.

It's just the lighting on the crowd, makes them look sorta dull.
Like they're all zone lit.
No matter I guess, it's still impressive to see that many 3-d characters, just for a crowd.

Maybe they should gussy up the chearleaders though... everyone likes to look at the cheerleaders, hehe.

Yea I wanna see the cheerleaders sweat. Their shirts should get wet too. Im sure will get plenty of upskirts with the new cloth physics. You can almost see the players balls in the 3rd pic.

Hmm after watcing the video... you SERIOUSLY think that looks the most next gen? There are a LOT of stuff that looks better than this IMO. I think if this is a representation of where it is now, they need to delay it and fix it a LOT. Maybe even recap the faces, because some of them don't look anything like their counterparts... doesn't even look like they capped some of them. Steve Nash anyone?

He didnt say the most next gen. He said one of the best looking. The game is still a work in progress there is alot of clipping and bad transitions in the animations but it still looks amazing. VC always does great stuff, way better than EA at graphics. Theres no doubt in my mind this will be one of the best looking 360 games.

how can they hold back ont his game....its a launch title if they hold back they lose all their grounds to compete with nba live for 360 and they will definetly not risk that. I jus hope they get the kinks out in time

Ya i would say this is the game with the biggest jump in visual quality from current gen to next, or maybe that's because i've seen GOW so much that's it's lost it's effect.

PERSONALLY, I say currently NBA Live looks way better than this, because they actually have characters that LOOK like their counterparts, instead of deformed faces. All of the Live characters are mo-capped, and as of now it is more than a step above this.

Tomarru @GeRaLTo: Im a soldier so ammo is absolutely vital, have everything setup for more ammo and still run out of it for 3 or 4 guns. But yea, scanning is boring. (39 minutes ago)
