Second video of Operation Flashpoint

Second video of Operation Flashpoint

Bohemia and Paul Statham did another exclusive video for us from their upcoming Xbox game Operation Flashpoint: Elite. In this 10 minute video, we'll get to see another full mission, where Paul owns the sky. Enjoy! With a little bit of luck, there's a chance we'll have something more from this game next week. Oh - and don't miss out the crazy bloopers in the end of the video.

OMG! Nice!

Thanks Manager and the guys back at Bohemia!
I really hope this game will be as great as the PC game, looking forward to a next installment in the future.

a sniper rifle in the PC version was umatched in any other game IMO, hope they've kept the mechanics of the sniper in the xbox version.

thank you for the videos, they're awesome, i like the graphical style of the xbox version.

I'm gutted this didn't come out sooner, as it is I think it might suffer because of the Xbox360.

I loved the PC version, in fact it's the only "wargame" I ever really liked, normally they leave me cold.

If Bohemia have sorted the "Join in Progress" and some of the clipping issues somethings the PC suffered from, then Operation Flashpoint would be brilliant as a Live game.

Glad you're liking it so far :)

I have to confess that after playing the Xbox game with JIP I cannot face going back to Opf on PC without it, MP works so much better in the Xbox version, as you will all find out very soon hopefully :)

Regarding the clipping the first video of yesterday should give some hints of how well that was achieved, a few time I go very close to objects such as trees and walls which are now very solid objects which are reacted to correctly by the controlled character as well as the AI, note how the AI are now so confident with the fixed clipping they actually hide behind trees when prone ;)

Oh, you are from the PR department? Seems like it is a good game. I don't know if it'll sell good, why did it take so long to develop this game?

The 360 is coming and then there are lots of shooters on the xbox, for a shooter to sell well, they need to be way above average. I'll keep an eye on this game, that's for sure.

Good luck

Everything about this video is great..except the fact that its in .wmv format. Does anyone know a good converter from .wmv to any QT compatible file type?

Tested it myself real quick and it converted a wmv just fine :)

To save my typing I answered some questions including about next gen versions here http://www.xboxyde.com/news_2169_en.html :)

  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer @GriftGFX: well Dragon age extracted is suppose to be arround 20 gigs but the download was only 8 gigs or 15 gigs...procedure might be different for newer games (31 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX 45 minutes for this game would have to be like... 3+ megabytes per second. My Comcast can't do that. (46 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX My FFOW DL is almost 12.9 gigs and like 95% done. (48 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Steam appears to download extracted and installed, there's no install process once you finish downloading a game. (49 minutes ago)
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer D2D file right now is 9.2 GB's. I think it was less when I was downloading it (now its extracted) I am pretty sure Steam works the same way. 12 gb is probably the extracted size :P (55 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
