Project Offset GDC video

Project Offset GDC video

The Offset team has finally released the trailer that was being shown at GDC 2006, showing a dragon standing on a cliff. Impressive stuff, and as other developers are starting to get their hands on the engine maybe we don't have to wait to like 2009 before we see it running on our TVs.
Update: 720p and 1080p(!) versions added.

Nice dragon. The rock is lacking in the old polys though. What kind of system is tghis designed to run on?PC or new console?

It's funny, you can actually donate $ on their (Project Offset) website. I think that this is currently PC only, but one of the lead programers has mentioned the they are talking about next gen consoles...

Stunning ..

The level of detail in this and BIA3 look like they could be mistaken for CGI graphics..

It'll never look like that when it's used in an actual game. As with all the previous Offset demos, this one concentrates on ONE thing.

Uh, we still don't know if this game is coming to 360, I don't know why have this as news for a 360 game.

In one of the interviews........

The developers VERY specifically say this is running on current gen hardware. I think they said they used a 6800GT gpu.

BONER!

this is just the engine, which would be licensed to any developers interested to use it.

I loved the demo, but I won't even bother downloading the 720p version as it plays like a slide show on my computer.
Commented on 2006-04-25 19:14:23
wow, 1080p? Im going to download this again just for the sake of it.
