PS3

Sony updated the PSN Store with 2 HD videos of Heavenly Sword. The first one is the usual Making Of with interviews and gameplay. The second one is much more original since it's the first part of the "anime" story of the game, and it's quite well done.

That animation(part 1) is hot sizzle!

I wonder who they got to make it? Looks like the Samurai Jack team could have worked on it to me.

One of the reasons I bought a PS3 recently, and many to come in this genre!

But I have yet to download the HD version of both videos, but seen them in low res from GT.

Amazing game, and September is around the corner which Lair flying over Heavenly Sword as well...great month for me as a PS3 owner :D

I love the animation videos, the style works really well to tell the story, and the voice over is cool too.

AWwww this game looks so sweet .. i would say this is the 1st game on PS3 that makes me want to get one =) still i will hold off till next year ^__^

the guy doing facial animations in the 2nd movie isn't he the same guy who did the animations for Gollum in LOTR?

after MGS, I find this game to have the best cinematics ever shown. Lip sync and facial expressions are amazing.

Great image quality on the anime trailer, good voice over. But, personally, I dislike the art and animation style in it.

Now, the "making of" was much better IMO. Got some good look at the game.

The LODs they are able to achieve on the characters, especially their faces, is quite astounding though. Its just a shame you can't see that all in the combat.

Although the environments, and the enemies aren't particularly poly-rich, the way they've used their textures very smartly makes the whole effect really good looking. Props to them for that.

AI still seems a little stupid from the clips in the video. But then again, there are 2000 of them at times they said. So its a tradeoff.

Now, make a 360 version, and I'll actually buy it!

The cartoon sucks ass. I am looking forward to the next making-of, though. Looks like this is the only good thing coming to PS3 until MGS4, so I'm planning on getting the most out of it.

Emmm i can,t see them doing a 360ver_____ would be good to see if it could run as good on 360 ....... this game did start off on xbox 1st so you never know!!!
or is it a SONY game only now?? i really don,t keep track of PS3 games

Yup, Play Magazine, the same one that gave that uninspired, glitchy, cliché pit and boring piece of software called Lair a 9/10, very trusty =) If they used the same standards on HS this is not a good sign.
