This time it's official, here are the images of Forza Motorsport 2 on Xbox 360. It looks quite a bit better than the screens from a few days ago, but there is room for improvements.

This looks pretty good, although I don't like the flat textures of the grass. They're still in stage of development, but I can see it's taking shape.

remember this is track racing, scenery detail will always look bland, thats the nature of tracks, the cars tho, thats a shit load of polys lol

This game looks horrendous, forza 1 HD. Atleast polyphony was honest that their game would be GT4 upscaled.

New engine? Joke. The devs were 100% dishonest about this game it isn't even funny.

The cars looks great but the backgrounds are sparse well the trackside looks like the havnt added the 3d grass yet (it was confirmed it ha dit a few weeks ago)

the worths thing ofr me is the curbs they look flat which is stupid, although its a simulation so thats the sweetspot they have to hit not the graphics for me..

Is it just me or does RalliSport Challenge 2 looks practically on par with these Screenshots? WTF?
Oh and yeah PGR3 still looks better if the Devs don't get there **** together.

But Are these Offical? I find that really hard to believe.

What happened to HDR? 4x AA?

I officially submitt a name change to Forza HD. Where is the global illumination? Where is the HDR? Where is the "PGR3 killer" graphically Turn 10 claimed this was?

I am sure it will play very well and be a lot of fun, but graphically it completely dissappoints. This is what we have been seeing from NFS at launch--not what we expect from a AAA title 1 year later.

i dont like it either, it looks good but they hyped it up too much i guess, considering development time and stuff i hope itll look alot better, the basics are there but it could be way better. imo moto gp on 360 looks better then this

Lack of AF, no HDR (not the back window), no global illumination hack to be found anywhere, 16bitish look to colors (probably due to the lighting model making everything look flat), low tarmack texture detail, and so forth.

Are you serious guys? IMO the game looks pretty badass.
Just look at this pic. http://www.xboxyde.com/pop_image.html?G=4062&N=1 That was CGI last gen. Just wait until you guys see this game in motion. I bet this game will own PGR3 graphics wise. Go outside and take a pic of 2 cars racing with the camera in a static postion, and then take a pic of 2 cars racing with the camera following one car at the same speed this one goes. The motion blur looks exactly the same. I seriously cant believe you guys are complaining. This game finally gets the real sense of speed right, and all you guys do is whine because the game doesnt look good in pics. You nonbelievers. The guy who leaked the pics forced Turn10 to release this work in progress pics way before they were ready to do so. Most likely the gameplay team is still working in tunning the physics and the art department hasnt finished any other track, even less the final touches or effects. I cant believe you guys switch sides so easily. You dissapointed me.

Actually I think it looks ok, will probably look much better moving than in screenshots also. I think too many people were expecting it to look EXACTLY like real life...

Looks pretty good, especially for a SIM that is supposed to run at 60fps too.

btw I see dithered trees. More dithering for those who think it doesnt exist.

edit: yes its a disappointment but I'm looking forward to the Racing, since this game unlike thousands of others is actually a racing simulator.

People need to stop lying to themselves and saying this looks great because it really doesn't. Any attempt to even suggest this game looks good is damage control. It looks awful and its an embarassment to the 360 for this to even be considered first party and come out a year after the console has been released.

Not insulting anyone just saying this game looks horrendous...

Forza1 improved a LOT in the last stages of it's developement. I really trust that that's going to happen again :) Because that is not what you can expect from a next gen Forza. Even though i would still buy it, the gameplay possiiblities sounds awesome. The improved physics, and the improved costumisation is more than enough for me to buy it.

But really.. Just give them some more time, i believe it's quite obvious that this lacks quite a bit of graphical features.. :)

TBH if they gave me Forza HD with an updated career and the force feedback wheel I would be more than happy. However I know the graphics wont dissapoint.
