PS2 Xbox

After yesterday's Xbox 360 images of Just Cause and requests of current-gen version images, here are around 100 images from the PS2 and Xbox versions of Just Cause. It looks simply amazing, the PS2 one is just ... wow.
Update: The game in-motion doesn't look nearly as good as these screenshots, so we'll just have to wait for real images.

Have you not played the 360 demo :| they blatantly go totally overboard with HDR to try and blur people from seeing how crap it looks

In the final game you have the option to turn the blur off if you want.

Xbox 360 version looks superb to PC. Just look at the rock by the shore, ground, shadows or bump mapping on the character.

No sense in comparing the PC to the 360, as the PC gets hardware upgrades every 6 months.

Even if the 360 version does look better now, who's to say that will be true 6 months from now?

The 360 version looks great, and it runs better than the game does on my PC - besides, sometimes I think only richboys play on the PC, because they have the money to do so as a way of compensating for something.

Any REAL gamer would prefer to play this game with a controller, I tried the PC demo with the keyboard and mouse and it completely sucked the fun out of the game.

Anyway, those PS2 shots are a joke - the actual PS2 game looks NASTY in comparison to any other version.

if he says it was set to the hightst lvl of detail i doubt it will look better than this in six month... just because the hardware gets better doesnt mean counter strike 1.6 turns into counter strike source ;)

Even if 360 version looks better now it will look better in 6 month or 5 years unless developer will release "next-gen" version for PC like one did with King Kong (you could DL (buy online) special version via direct2disc.

Wow what type of people are we getting into this site nowadays. It doesnt matter if a new graphic card comes out. The improvements on the pc will me minimal to nothing. Cards Cannot upgrade graphics of a game any further then what the developers put.

You guys think you know everything but you don't.

It's a shame you seem so arrogant but at the same time know so little.

Learn how to read before you judge other people's comments. If you knew how to read, and had any kind of common sense or imagination you could gather that games have been patched in the past.

Everything from Far Cry to Half Life 2, to Splinter Cell Chaos Theory on the PC, even Oblivion recently have been patched to improve graphics.

And even if the developers and or mod community don't provide such patches, faster cards can either enable additional effects via driver or just plain shoot up the resolution so high that it looks better anyway. High quality self shadowing, improved post processing effects, AF, AA, improved lighting model, etc.

Right now even if a game doesn't support a feature I can force it via driver.

You guys remind me why I post so little on forums these days. I've been on this site longer than any of you and I've got what... a handful of posts.... and you guy think you know it all.

What losers.

Pretty sad huh. It's almost like the PC version is a port of the PS2 version. Other than the higher resolution, tons of stuff is missing.

Of course, all I've seen is the PC demo - and it's missing shadows for the trees, the blurr effects take a BIG frame rate hit, the lighting is not HDR, etc.

But by far, the worse thing about the PC version is having to play on the K+M - yuk!

Still, like I said - it makes no sense to compare the 360 to the PC version, as the PC version could easily change - and continue to change, long after the 360 version is out - and of course, the 360 version will never change much.

But yeah, the 360 version looks much better over all right now.

You really believe Just Cause will evolve on PC? I really doubt it and Far Cry is 1 of a million example. PC games don't envolve and that's true for most of them. There wasn't any patch for King Kong on PC instead developer released special version. Most of PC games which are multiplatform will be on par which Xbox/PS2 because most of PC gamers don't have high-end machins. Sad but true. It's nice that Eidos went other patch and included next-gen contents for Tomb Raider: Legent PC version, which still doesn't look as good as Xbox 360 version which has better HDR lighting.

Yeah right. You're wrote "No sense in comparing the PC to the 360, as the PC gets hardware upgrades every 6 months.

Even if the 360 version does look better now, who's to say that will be true 6 months from now?" So your claiming that in future this and other games will look better which isn't the truth at all and you're one of a million examples don't proof anything. Before writing anything you'd better learn how to right. You sound like it's so common for PC game to change "Still, like I said - it makes no sense to compare the 360 to the PC version, as the PC version could easily change - and continue to change, long after the 360 version is out - and of course, the 360 version will never change much.". There is point in compering graphics of both versions cause PC games MOSTLY don't change. And I doesn't change a thing that PC will have or already have superior hardware cause games are made for mainstream.
