Halo 3 scans

Famitsu Weekly took us by surprise by having nothing less than 3 full pages about Halo 3. At first glance it seems like the graphical style is closer to Halo than Halo 2, but with some next-gen painting of course. The lighting is really really spectacular in these shots.
Update: It's worth saying that all these shots are from the multiplayer mode. I didn't think it would be necessary to say so, but I guess I was wrong...

Looking nice. Hard to tell from scans though. Hopefully we'll see some actual screenshots soon. I don't see any dual wielding going on which is a good thing as far as I'm concerned. Hopefully they go back more to the mechanics of Halo 1.

Looks OK, not spectacular...like david said though, hard to tell from scans. Even if the graphics aren't outstanding, I'm sure the gameplay will be.

It does look to me like the models have been taken straight out of DOA4. Multiplayer gameplay is going to be all about gameplay and running smoothly with loads of players.

They'll shock us with the single player visuals later on.

Halo1 style environments rocks !!! nice lightning is all that matters :D looks like some kind of global ilumination to me. We need some real shots not scans, but anyway thanx xboxyde for this little piece of halo goodnes :D.

These scans actually show how great the game looks and hopefully the complainers should shut their mouths now. the lighting is BEYOND INCREDIBLE

Not only that in that first shot look at the detail of the ground and of the Master Chief. The lighting looks nice but the models arent bad either. :D.

looks like an artists impression to me. You can see how the armouring is detailed differently than in the other shots. So either its an earlier 'concept render' or the like, or a drawing/painting. Still nice though.

Game looks good, I thought it looked close to Halo 1, so I guess they are backtracking so we can remember that first Halo feel again. the details are great :)

I'm still getting utterly annoyed at this topic. I came here from Gametrailers.com (a link) and there are morons there... no, sorry - they're not morons- they're ignorant gamers who run their mouths. And now I'm seeing a few here...

ALPHA GRAPHICS

That means that virtually everything you see can be considered PLACE HOLDERS. Please- FOR THE LOVE OF GAMING - STOP complaining about how the graphics aren't 'good' or how 'they're dissappointing' or 'yaawnn- I'll pass'. For F*&Ks sake- they're ALPHA GRAPHICS running on the ALPHA VERSION of the game! We'll probably be hard pressed to even recognize what the game will look like from these scans a year from now!

That's it. Please, those in the know- next time you see some Ignorant Gamer complaining- rub their noses in the INCREDIBLLY WIDE SPREAD INTERNET REPLIES FROM BUNGIE that these are ALPHA GRAPHICS.

Now.

Wow- I love the 'weapon on the back thing'! That looks awesome! And I'm so psyched to see the Mongoose brought back into play! Whoot Whoot!! I can't wait to see what the game will look like in motion!

Nice to know that Bungie listened to the cry of the fans and brought back the organic look of the first Halo game. That map with the vegetation and blue skies is going to be breath taking.

Looks like concept art to me, but some dark smoky levels like that would be awesome.

It's worth noting that Bungie have already stated that these screens were from the ALPHA build of Halo 3.

Meaning, all will be improved at a later date.
