any news on what region protection is gonna be on this?

I really think this game will double the ammount of Xbox's in the region from a little over 125k to 250k+.

As it is looking now the Japanese like it. So they might sell a few in the region.

Every japanese game so far as been region coded for asia only, no reason why this should be any different.

You have no idea how true this is. In the last 3 days alone I have seen Blue Dragon ads on subway cars, in department stores, and even when buying food from a convini.(At lawsons, they have digital cash registers with advertisements, MS bought Blue Dragon space on these cash registers.) I really dont think its possible to go more than 3 hours in public without seeing some kind of Blue Dragon promo going on.

I just hope it equates to 2 things, one the game being good, and two, to a lot of 360s selling in the region. Thiere were lines at yodobashi on the 2nd for the 360, so maybe its already picking up.(core system launch date)

As for region, im really wondering about htat. I think MS might pull a fast one on us and actually have the game in 2 languages from the start. Already a lot of names and information in it that are bilingual.

Very original Boss fights it seems. there sure is a great deal of creativity behind the game .... I cant wait!

looks like a standard japanese CRPG :s really dont see the fuss about this, quite basic looking, but does have some nice modelling on characters/enemies, other than that its usual jap crpg stuff

Well from the outside looking in it may appear standard. I mean it does follow some rpg basics (its sakaguchi afterall), but to the hardcore rpg fan.. this is a killer app. The 360 has 2 killer apps releasing this year (different territories of course)

Gears of War and Blue Dragon.

What truly makes an rpg a killer app is its story. If the story is amazing everything else will pretty much fall in place and of course to people like me the combat is pretty damn cool to look at.

So I think I'll be enjoying this game for multiple reasons. I think there is a benefit to being a hardcore pc gamer for a long time you appreciate games a lot more I think. For example if a game similar to blue dragon was to ever show up on the pc as an mmo I think people would eat it up.

If story was what mattered why didnt FF9 sell better than 7 or the crap that was 8?

This doesn't look anything like an average JRPG, fromsomeone who doesn't like JRPG's i guess they would think that.

I'm glad MS are advertising this like they are, hopefully it will do well, perhaps we will get to see a spin off "Marumaro's Adventures" :P

*AHEM* FF8 is my favorite game ever!!!YOU dont see the fuss about it because all you have to go on are the graphics, be honest, if this game looked like gears of war you would be all over it....most people cannot see the difference between most JRPG except the people that actually play them.

i just watched the CMs and it looks great, it can definately hold me off until Lost Odyssey!!

I just love how you quickly classed the game under generic/standard RPGs when you havent even played it. Clearly the game does not appeal to your tastes so please dont just shut it down. I hate it when People just seem not to get the art style of the game and jump quickly saying that the graphics do not look good.

Please let it be region free!!

Yea but US and PAL are question marks still, i know it's like 1 in a million chance but, I can hope.

Just noticed that actually... good spot ... I guess there may still be hope! Well developers have the option to make their games region free Right ? so you never know.

Both Blue Dragon & Lost Oddysey have ben confirmed to release in US and Europe, but no date and translating RPG's usualy takes 0,5-1,5 year.

Yea i know this, but i can't wait that long.
