PC images of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars

PC images of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars

We just got some new images of Nerve Software's online FPS - planned to be released God-knows-when on PC, PS3 and X360. We hope the console ports will be as eye-catching as these screenies.

Damn that doom3 engine still looks great.

Is that the doom 3 engine? I don't think it is.

snoopers: "We just got some new images of Nerve Software's online FPS" - Wrong, Nerve Software isn't developing this title, they are working on RtCW2 MP -part. ET:QW is a project of Splashdamage: http://splashdamage.com/

Peoples is right. Nerve ported the original RTCW to Xbox and now are porting RTCW2 to 360.

Battlefield Quake.

We've seen the Doom3 engine rather unsuccessfully in Quake4 and Prey (slowdowns, blurry textures) so I'm not having high hopes for the console port of this game.

Actually, on Feb. 13, 2007 Id Software said Nerve is doing the porting on to the xbox 360 and I quote:

"Under the executive production of id Software, Nerve Software is developing Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars for the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, while Z-Axis is the developer for the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system."
sooo...
snoopers is kinda right.

SplashDamage is involved in Quake Wars, they are making the pc version.

go snoopers, yay!

~~~ps. I've never won anything and greetings to mobel~~~
I'm pretty sure Nerve is doing the 360 port.
What he said. And I thought id was doing both versions of Wolf3D internally? Maybe not.
Battlefield Quake.
It's easy to compare this to BF--but Frontlines is more like BF than this from what I've seen so far. This is still Enemy Territory from what I can tell, just on a much larger scale with crazy ass vehicles (which I guess makes it sorta like BF). Looks great anyway, and 2006 was a shitty year for FPS games in general, 2007 is looking a whole lot more solid.
Before moving to the 360 a couple of months ago, i only played Battlefield (2 and 2142) for the last 2 years on the PC, and all i can say is that the multiplayer (Gears and GRAW2) in 360 is not by a sinlge inch comparable. Dont get me wrong, im loving everything about 360, both Gears and GRAW2 are incredible games with no pair on PC, but the multiplayer is just too weak, not comparable to the extreme and complete BF experience, it always feels counterstrike all over again: run frag run frag...
This too say that im really looking forwar to QW:ET, maybe it will get me a little bit more excited about the multiplayer and maybe a little bit closer to what i was used with BF...
This is more objective based, but graphically, yes it looks better.
    amerakindesi @Tiz: halo 6 should incorporate all the halo species to date. Humans, covenant, brutes, flood, forerunner & also introduce a new species (3 Hours ago)
  • amerakindesi
    amerakindesi @Tiz: halo 5 was a disaster storywise. Only way they can fix halo 6 is to drop that other spartan and focus only on master chief (3 Hours ago)
  • amerakindesi
    amerakindesi @Tiz: i love the anniversary mockups. For the true fans to enjoy the classics with a modern feel. (3 Hours ago)
    Tiz Anyway, it's early days. The next time we hear about Halo after Halo Wars 2 will be E3, and it will either be H3: Anniversary or a Halo 6 trailer and my money is on H3: A. (6 Hours ago)
  • Tiz
    Tiz The H6 campaign I meant. (6 Hours ago)
  • Tiz
    Tiz @amerakindesi: I liked 4's campaign as well, 5 was a massive misstep and while Joe isn't necessary for the H5 campaign to be good, I think he is necessary for it to be epic. (6 Hours ago)
  • amerakindesi
    amerakindesi To be frank though I loved halo 1, halo 2, halo 3, halo 4 campaigns in that order. 4 was my fav. (6 Hours ago)
