Xbox 360

It's a been a long time since we had some new Project Offset info, but a small teasing site appeared out of nowhere, and seems to offer new stuff for every 1000 unique visitors. A pretty nice idea, and it already gave us this nice new image.
Update: And a second image already!
Update2: Third image!

The second shot looks more like what the trailers indicated, both look excellent.

If they manage to fit this on the 360, given that the GPU in it is nearly a generation old, I would be very impressed.

Yeah, the first pic is kind of underwhelming in some aspects, but the lighting is incredible, especially in that second pic.

I remember seeing a vid where you see a sequence where he was on some kind of cliff/mountain that was under attack. The immersiveness and the scale of that sequence was so amazing, that was what really impressed me and that's what I'm expecting this upcoming game to be: epic and HUGE in terms of scale and gameplay.

That said, I've not heard all that much of this game since, so it's kind of hard to get excited for something that doesn't seem to be getting anywhere at all.
I'm probably wrong, but I just don't see this game releasing in the next few yeas for some reason...

Yes these DO NOT look as good as the previous videos but then you have to consider they were from extremely limited environments, these might have been from a more developed game. The problem with offset is that it has a very little team who will probaly take another couple of years before a game materialises and by that time their engine will have been surpassed by developers with more money. If that hasnt happened already.

To be fair, what they showed off last time was just the engine. This time they might actually have a game running!

I think the screenshots look fine. Aside from some aliasing in the first one, I don't think it looks worse than, say, Assassin's Creed.

It still look awesome.

To people who think it looks downgrade : it's because we have game like Gears of War out at the market now. That's why you feel like that~

Are there large format images of the environments they showed before? These certainly aren't that far off. In motion is where it shone though, motion blur and amazing technical effects.

At the bottom there is binary (hidden, needs to be highlighted to see) which is...

01101011 01100101 01100101 01110000 00100000 01100111 01101111 01101001 01101110 01100111

And that translates to 'keep going'...

Doesn't look as good as the original demos, but they were just showing the engines capabilities, not the realistic appearance when running a game. It's like the MGS4 real-time trailer ;)

Oh man, even before the 360 launch back in '05, Project Offset seemed amazing.

The trailer with the blue cube particle effect + motion blur was astounding.

It's described by the PO team themselves as an "epic fantasy FPS"...
