Buty as all other good games it comes out in 3rd quarter of the year.
Flatout 2 with improved graphics and physics etc.. I can't wait to play it..
never played Flat Out, might have to try it :)
That is really something all you FlatOut fans should take a look at! A 3D screenshot!
Just click on the "Lataa tästä Quicktime-3D-ruutukaappaus!" -link.
edit: new working link
Cheers scubetus, that looks brilliant!
More screens.
I love Flatout and I love Flatout 2. I love Burnout (to an extent these days, but 2 was amazing) and I love Full Auto.
But crashes? Really? What's so exciting about crashes? The fact that they look good I suppose is... good.. But when you're playing you're supposed to AVOID crashes. The thing some people seem the MOST excited about is the one thing you NEVER WANT TO DO. Hence, when you're getting really good at it you'll never see them! That's when the game gets fun, and the crashes go away.
So why, I wonder, and will never ever understand.
In Flatout 1 (and I really like this game) it was however dangerous to play in that way, when you do that you really risk the result of the race.
But in Flatout 2 they fixed some things, physics was less intransigent (wich, at the beginning, bugging me but with the time I accept their choice and understand, the game was more assumed now, not a "you can destroy everything but don't do that too much or you will lose" experience), the game a little more arcadey. With these modifications, you can play more with the destructible elements and try to crash the others cars.
By doing that, you gain nitro et I think the game was more funny to play like that.
So, I like the modifications in FOUC (a remake of Flatout 2, in the most part, the gameplay will remain the same): better graphics (who doesn't like eyes-candy? ;=), 12 cars during race vs 8, an increased number of destructible elements, etc
I think it's the best way to make the game more fun, more crazy, more spectacular!
I'm gonna keep an eye on this game, want to see more gameplay videos
so far, i'm 60% interested
I don't get it.
