Valve released this nice teaser for Team Fortress 2 presenting the Heavy Weapon Guy and his lovely gun. It's too bad it doesn't actually show the game, but it's still entertaining.

I just love the visuals- the sheer style of it! It kinda reminds me of The Incredibles. And then there is the animation, nothing short of awesome in my opinion. I mean take a look at his face after presenting himself, as he grabs his gun, shown in the third picture above! And all the other expressions, man its priceless! Oh, does anybody know what kind of accent he is talking with? I think its cool but I cant pinpoint where its from...

How astute of you, how was the frame rate when you actually played it? Would you really expect the game to have that intense of a DOF during gameplay?

Portal has used this, Left4Dead has used this, Day of Defeat has used this, why would TF2 take another approach in rendering something that's meant to do the exact same thing on the exact same engine.

Only last year were those post processing effects developed and by then played back at only 2 FPS through demos. Remember that first TF2 trailer?
