Team Fortress 2 Teaser

Team Fortress 2 Teaser

Valve released this nice teaser for Team Fortress 2 presenting the Heavy Weapon Guy and his lovely gun. It's too bad it doesn't actually show the game, but it's still entertaining.

I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a Russian accent.

emotaku [japanese translation: em(o)freak] Yes, what you see in the link is prerendered, what you see in this video, is not. Don't care if anybody claims it pre-rendered, since I know it's not. [at least the game looks exactly like this while running.]
How astute of you, how was the frame rate when you actually played it? Would you really expect the game to have that intense of a DOF during gameplay?

Portal has used this, Left4Dead has used this, Day of Defeat has used this, why would TF2 take another approach in rendering something that's meant to do the exact same thing on the exact same engine.

Only last year were those post processing effects developed and by then played back at only 2 FPS through demos. Remember that first TF2 trailer?

"There's some extra screenspace effects on it (depth of field & motion blur), but apart from that it's all just recorded in the game." -Robin Walker, Valve Designer

extra effects != actual in-game.
