Ubi Days: Gameplay of Splinter Cell: Conviction

More Ubidays goodness with this quite long gameplay video of Splinter Cell: Conviction. You'll be able to see the fantastic lighting and animations of the game, and more importantly see how different the gameplay is from the previous games of the series. The version they showed was still very early, but it looked great.
Update: Added a trailer that will show the graphics way better than our video.

Ubisoft Montreal is very quickly proving themselves to be powerhouses when it comes to next gen gaming. Absolutely great.

Shit even the music was very 24/The Bourne style...love it :D.

The game is more 3rd person action than your regular SLOW 3rd person.

I liked the idea that he can put a hood over his head for move low profile while going around in the crowd.

Anyone know what the "Memento sequence" is all about?

From what i know about the game, there's a gameplay mechanic similar to Altair's Assassin's Intuition, where you can remember paths certain chrs took, and spot who to take out, stuff like that. It's kinda like a sixth sense, but its nothing supernatural, its only because Sam Fisher is a highly trained operative.

the animation in general, as with assassins creed where amazing, but i didnt like his standard walking animation, it seemed far too stiff and mechanical. hopefully they work on that.

Perhaps. I thinks its a lot less stiff and mechanical than previous Splinter Cells.

It's like a Mix of Hitman and Splinter Cell, with some kind of Jack Bauer vs. all Story. Looks great to me :D

Its great to see you guys reacting so favorabley to the new Splinter Cell, ive been browsing various forums, and people think ubisoft is ruining the series just because Sam Fisher isnt constantly hiding in shadows anymore. As if, that's all that there is to stealth.

Well, it's actually not Splinter Cell anymore. I mean, there will be Fisher, but the Gameplay is just so diffrent... in a good way.
