Definately not last gen.

However, hardly impressive for this gen either.

I expect more guys... hopefully its got a blistering framerate and looks ace in motion.

Looks like a High deff version of the orginal with improved graphics...

but as long as the gameplay is the same... or a little better it will be a great game...

but i expected more from the visuals...

DONT FORGET THAT TOP SPIN WAS AND IS STILL ONE OF THE BEST LOOKING GAMES ON XBOX...

so its only natural for fans to be disappointed... we know this team is capable of doing better.. shame

Looks a lot better than the original game but the models really are a let down in the facial area. Can't wait to see the cloth physics in motion aswell!

Not a game i'm interested, but I'm sure they'll improve on the character models.



Then again this all depends on how well they recreate serena williams ;)

Microsoft should have never let this one go, their version looked even better than this, all things considered.

Who cares if this looks good or not. We'll wait for Virtua Tennis 3 which will own this game in every aspect.

Also good news despite 360 shortages microsoft made a 5% financial gain :)

And 1.5 million 360s sold to date. Microsoft thinks they'll definetly hit 2.5 mil by end of february which means anyone that doesn't have a 360 yet should be on the lookout.

Only 500,000 less than the original 3 mil first 90 days goal.

Top Spin is better then Virtua Tennis in every way... the original TopSpin already proved that buddy...

better gameplay, much more skillfull, and a REAL single player campaign, with a great online...

IT PLAYS BETTER.. and i bought dream cast just to play Virtua Tenis (and DOA2)
so im not insulting VT... but TS is better

Everything about Top Spin was a complete rip-off from VT. The gameplay tried so hard to copy VT, but that top spin button was the cheapest move they could have implemented. The mini-games were too blatant a copy to even go into.

In terms of multiplayer? VT owned Top Spin in that aspect too. Both casuals and hardcore gamers loved VT multiplayer. Top Spin was cheap in my opinion.

And yes its virtua tennis clone,however a extremly good one,and thus making it one of the best sports game ever,what wrong with it?

Anyways, about the game.....looks good, I used to play the original all the time with my fiance so she'll be looking forward to getting this.

its about graphics we are in the next gen. come on - even thou picture can,t really show much of the game. this game just looks normal nothing excting here.
need to see the camera man audience waving there banners. need to see 1 and two people jumping up an down people walking out f the stadium etc.

I think, aside from other little details, some facial expressions are needed.
You can see the stale looks on their faces, even when hitting the ball.

I'm sure the game will play nicely, as that's already been well established.

The FIFA (Doom3?) type sheen and overblown lighting could be toned down some too.

I think the graphic is fine,top spin is about 10/10 gameplay and if it looks like this im more then pleased.

Yeah, if gameplay what counts, I'd rather just play the first one than pay $60 for an updated roster and higher-res with some AA, if any (2x at least according to Peter Moore). But no it's not backward compatible with my 360. Hm...I wonder why.

Oh man, look how shiny Maria's legs are, now that's Barbie-like, with a full body wax job covered with oil, LOL.

It doesn't look like Maria's leg is cover with wax. It's the HDR lighting. She have really nice leg in the game.

Haha I'm just saying we should be interested in stuff like this as it only means good things for 360 owners and the likely possibility that this means more funding will be put towards improving on the already great xbox live and securing more deals with the developers that will make this console a success. It's all a plus I mean the last thing I'd want to hear is that they had a disappointing revenue.

Peter moore said 2xaa because he wasn't sure at the time despite him being the top guy for the 360 he does make mistakes, ATI and microsoft have gone out of their way to make sure developeres know that 4xaa is attainable at no performance loss. I do notice aliasing in these pics though, but then again its still in development.

Tbh I'm not really impressed with how Topspin 2 looks atm.. Topspin was one of my favorites games on the Xbox (also because I play tennis myself IRL), and I expected Topspin 2 on the Xbox 360 to be a real killer, both in gameplay and graphics.. But maybe we have to see this game in motion and it will look better, by the looks of it it uses HDR etc, so we'll see..

Also maybe 2K games needs to take some lessons from EA Chicago that showed with FNR3 how it should be done on the Xbox 360.. Topspin 2 has no excuses to look worse then FNR3 imho (2-4 players max, arena, and crowd, that's it)..

I played Virtua Tennis 3 at the ATEI show in London this week, it's a big improvement on previous versions but still a long way from Top Spin in depth.

Looks good to me, graphicswise. Only thing, that is missing at the moment is facial animation. Player faces need expressions on them to look believable. The eyes look quite bad as well. Probably just because of the (lack of) facial animation. Other than that, the character models look good. Gameplay should rock, if it can match or supersede the predecessor. And it should.

Could you exapnd? What have they done exactly? How does it feel to play with the players?
