I was stunned when i watched the trailer sony actually delivered on the hype..

Looks great up close but degrades extremely quickly. Look at the backgrounds. The LOD system could use a little improvement.

Good thing sequels can improve on gameplay and not just graphics then..

I'll believe the hype when I PLAY it.

You really need to see the ocnference play video, they played through basically bits of the 1st level, it was ace.

I really don't like the background environments in the first screen....the architecture is just odd mix of blocks with black and grey concrete/metal textures.

Well it doesn't meet the quality of the trailer from '05 in any way, shape or form, and Phil Harrison claimed it would exceed that trailer in some aspects. I'm sorry, but I just don't see it...

looks good, but i think theres way too much motion blurr, and close up textures are really low.

Well,ok it's pre-pre-alpha.The graphics will be glorious,i'm sure they are going to use more than 70% of ps3's power,but the trailer in press conference...It was not what i expected...The AI didn't really impress me(maybe because i had F.E.A.R. Extreme Difficulty in my mind) and the gameplay was in normal levels...Nothing extremely exciting,but the only think we can do is wait...

Looks good but not outstanding. I think Call of Duty 4 looks better. Anybody else laugh when they saw the fire effects?

lol seriosuly, not quite gears of war. But it looks ok, I think the backgrounds need a lot of work but I'm sure that'll be fixed later. Honestly I'm not blown away, maybe I was expecting too much. I think I was more impressed with call of duty 4. This game is looking like it might suffer like the original, to me that was the bland greyness of every single level there was...but we'll see. That was one thing I didn't like about the original, but I do like the killzone world...it's just, I really was expecting better :(

lol give me a break this is no gears of war it looks good but no where even near call of duty 4 graphics... its more on target with cod3 than anything else.

You need to look at things that are in the light, dont let a dark scene fool you into thinking something "looks good"

COD3's not very impressive at all, so I'm gonna have to go ahead and say, no!

The comparisons in this thread are classic. COD3, Area 51... riiight. Keep'm coming. At least no one has compared it to CS 1.6 yet --- oh wait! ;)
