It's no real surprise to see Sony announce a Gran Turismo 5: Prologue game on PSN for the end of the year. But since it's looks awesome, I'm willing to let it slide. Update: Trailer

I don't really care, I haven't seen this game a) realtime b) realtime footage, so far Sony hasn't shown nothing but screenshots and video of Killzone 2 which was quite nice.

I don't think that's a fair comparison. GT5: Prologue should be quite a bit better than GTHD I figure. They've had quite a bit more time to work on this one.
God, I am really starting to hate that xboxyde/playsyde rolled into one. One reason why I used to love it was that there was so few console bitching.
Honestly, the footage looks amazing, but there are some "questionable" things about the footage. But either way looks fantastic, and I hope thats what it turns out like in the end...
looks better than forza on par with pgr4 minus the weather effects and bikes. But I prefered forza over gt last generation. And i probably will this time. Its just more fun.
Of course it looks good. The GT series have always looked good, and since they haven't included and damage modelling, it should look this good.
My concern is however; how long will we have to wait? A cockpit view adds a hefty amount of time to development, and with the 1080p requirement, it's going to take even longer to do a model now. Anyones guess how many cars and tracks? Surely it can't be on par with GT4. Don't expect this game until 2009 at best, guys. The PS3 should be cheap enough to buy by then.

The replays made everything look os so good almost life like at times. I wish they would show gameplay, even at early stages it's good to see progress :)

shame this will play the same as gt4, and gt3, and gt2, and gt1, i grew tired of the gameplay during number 3, it wont have the same level of physics and feel of driving as forza 2, shame tho, because one thing polyphony are good at, is modeling the cars, amazing stuff, just send them over to turn10 for forza 3 and we'd have the perfect racing sim.
Wow wow... the gameplay and physics have changed from the first to te 4th!!! It always got better and more worked out, as much as the system was able to give!!! Do not think it's gonna be a GT4 with better graphics!! But what do you expect? It's a sim... and the cars always reacted very realistic, there's not much space for evolution in that way!!
go play toca race driver 3 or forza 2, the physics are much better than gt, gt has never felt quite right, and the bumper car gameplay is tiresome, TRD3 and F2 have it right, sadly forza 2 is quite ugly tho, although strangly addictive.
Hm, I have Toca3. It's good, but didn't convince me that much as GT.

There is going to be a cockpit view, it is shown in the trailer and was confirmed a while back. Well, i know thye'll have it anyway. Surely with this kinda system and being made by the makers of previous no.1 games, so they have the experience with racing games, im sure they know now that they can do it. Id say the problenm is to make the cockpit from the outside as good detail as the inside. Anyway, i hope they have damage of some sort. Even stalling or overheating would do.
