If the game has all the features of the Xbox 360 version I might pick it up.
BTW does it run in 1080p?
Framerate does bug me immensely in the 360 version though. Hopefully they've cured that for the PS3 one.
But the outside of the cars and the tracks look really good!
However, I lost interest in that game...
The first screen (left side) shows that they got rid of FSAA to achieve a more stable framerate. Ground textures are higher res in the 360 version.
Framerate apart (how can we decide it....if you cant watch a ps3 version' movie ?).....
textures are 10000 times better in the 360 version !!!
7.1 Uncompressed sound.
1080p
50% load time cut (this might not be true).
Those are the main differences between the two versions.
Let's keep in mind this is an engine Codemasters and Sony developed together.
In the meantime, might as well wait until it ships.
The developers themselves said that the PS3 version shines next to the 360 version, in visuals and performance. Have a look through the gamespot videos, they have the interview.

30FPS locked.

xbox 360 owners have already bought, played, enjoyed, completed and forgotten about this game ages ago!! as far as im concerned this game is history, and this news is BORING because ive already played this game!!
Theres so much more to look forward to then a slightly improved Dirt that has been out on 360 for a month already
and to my eyes, the 360 version looks better then these screen shots anyway!
I for one am playing wow still, and to be honest graphics are nothing but mere bullsh*t.
Love this game, but agree 100% that framerate issues could kill the moment.
the only thing that really dissapoints me is that you can´t drive in the snow
and according to the E3 visitors it looks and moved noticeably better than the Xbox 360 version.
We'll see when the PS3 version is released so when can compare.. Tbh I think it will be like almost all multiplatform games that look very much identical on both systems.. The differences between the Xbox 360 and PS2 are much smaller then between Xbox and PS2, and I doubt that will ever change..
Comparing the Xbox 360 and PS3 is like comparing a ATI 1800XT and Nvidia 7800GTX videocard.. The ATI card being faster in some games, the Nvidia one in others, but overall pretty much equal..
Codemasters use the Neon engine, developed with Sony for the PS3 which is the lead platform, for some odd reason they decided to port and release on the 360/PC earlier, and IMO it's a hashed port with too many framerate issues..
The fact that the PS3 is the lead platform, using an Engine that has had Sony's input, and released after the 360/PC means it should be a good improvement...
Why oh why they screwed the 360/PC crowd I don't know..
