Shin Sangoku Musou 5 scan

Koei annonced yesterday during the Playstation Premiere that Shin Sangoku Musou 5, aka Dynasty Warriors, would be released on Playstation 3. As always, Famitsu gets the scoop with the first images. It looks like Koei finally gets some next-gen-ish assets for the game, quite a change from the straight PS2 ports they released on Xbox 360 until now.

whoa, LuBu looks like super Shredder. I'd be lying if i said i didnt like the character designs, but the gameplay is so tired. I hope they reinvigorate the series with something new in this one.

Yeah there was. Either it's translated wrong or this is a.. remake of sorts. :O

actually looks good from what I can see...better than bladestorm anyway, which did look like an old pc game

Ah yes! Right you are. The "first" here was a 1 on 1 fighter from Koei sporting the same characters.

I wish they'd just do the right thing and incorporate the Empires stuff and the arcadier initial release in the same game.

PlumbDrumb Okay, this is wierd. Autoscrolling is smooth as buttah, but manually scrolling is all skippy when lots of images are on screen. (53 minutes ago)
PlumbDrumb I'm going to try a fresh install, though I hate doing that. (1 Hour ago)
