Looks good. This could be the last Final Fantasy since it is number 13. And everyone here should know that that number is the number of change. Maybe I am wrong though.

dont see any reason why that couldnt be a cutscene, can make them as detailed as you want pretty much these days, although that is obviously CG, and its squenix, so you wouldnt expect anything less

This game is going to kick some serious ass... PS3 has some of the best looking games coming...

I think these pictures we've seen are in-game shots, though rendered.

Squeenix has always had damn good graphics team, and when FF games have always been very non-dynamic you can put the whole power of the console behind the graphics.

Atleast I can see more edges on those guys than in 06 E3's Killzone 2 guys.

No way is this in-game, imo it's not even in-engine...probably not even close. The textures are just way too high-res and the lighting? I don't think so, no way. Not that square tends to be bad with graphics, but this would just be too big a jump in quality to be even remotely plausible.

Well there is a FFXIII trailer on IGN which is mostly CGI cutscenes with snippets of in-game footage, and I can safely say this most definitely ain't in-game footage.

Anyway, graphics are the least problem, since its SE and it will look amazing...the problem is, theyve shown virtually nothing new for a year...just like FFXII was

Its a teaser shot and it looks awesome, like a lot of people, it got us excited... obviously the graphics will be good. great? dont know. stunning? dont know. they will atleast be good, and thats good enough if the gameplay is right

The issue is, it's meaningless if it isn't gameplay.

Look at World of Warcraft's CG intro. If that was all you ever saw of the game, you would have NO idea what the game actually looks like. I don't think anyone has ever questioned Square's CGI abilities, so the image is basically meaningless to judge the game by.

At 13% there's no way any of the stuff they've released so far is in-game. Maybe it's representative of what they're trying to achieve, but I highly doubt it'll look as polished when they finally start using the PS3's resources for gameplay rather than just graphics. There's a trade off that's yet to be made with FF13, which is why everyone is so amazed by the screens. Don't get me wrong, it'll still look very good, just not AS good.

FF games use to make me burn for wanting more info but this doesn't do it, not that FF12 did it either, biggest failure yet of the series, I don't get why it got soo good rating, specially under the story department when it had the worst in the series (igorning FF1-3 granted )

FFXII was made by a non FF making team. The guy who made FF12 previously worked on Final Fantasy Tactics and Vagrant Story. This game however is made by the Final Fantasy X team and I am excited about it. FF12 didn't feel like FF but this will :P But I think the project was put on hold due to bad PS3 sales in Japan

Looks like CGI to me, but then if Losy Odyssey can look that good, FF13 can look better.

White engine > Unreal 3 engine. UE3 was made for PC and just now is being ported to PS3. White engine is designed for PS3

Why would it get you excited? What percentage of the game is going to be CG and will the CG be playable? No. It's not even as if it's CG of a summon/interesting character which would at least tell us something about that actual game.
