The very kind nvgvrez sent us these scans from the latest Famitsu Weekly, released today in Japan. They are actually showing some new stuff in there, and if I'm not misstaken, the very first image of the map Epitaf.

There is quite a lot of new stuff in there. Guardian is the Lockout remake. They show a couple of Forge screens, not to mention the new human flying vehicle, the elephant, the brute crawler and I think even some Elite armour customisation.

The Elephant looks awesome, did you guys hear the sound of its horn in the latest Bungie podcast? I hope it has a lengthy reset time or people will be spamming that so much it will sound like War of the Worlds!

I'm not Halo fan, but I think playing Halo 3 will be nice gaming experience.

Lighting and landscapes really do look great in this game. Pretty much a bigger and better Halo 2, but I'm totally fine with that.

Ah there is a lot of cool stuff on these scans! There is the Elephant(I guess), the UNSC flyer and what seems to be an Elite armour alteration. Cool!

i love halo 3 art direction but the way it is executed is not what i like . on one hand you have very well done sci fi setting(the alien world, covanant structures etc). on the other hands you have this realistic (poor attempt)empty landsscape on earth with beautiful exotic tropical/jungles/forest suited for a holiday destination rather than destroyed conqured planet.... you end up with two different mood

Cool.. in the absence of the new EGM, this will do just fine for now. Wish I could read the text though. Anyone care to translate?
Elephant reminds me of Titan in 2142, sans-flight. Epitaph, Last Resort and Guardian all look very nice.. as does the custom Elite helmet on the model at the bottom of page 2. Good stuff.
