Now this is a great news for the numerous Halo 3 fans out there, since Bungie announced a few minutes ago that Halo 3 would have a 4 players coop mode over Xbox Live! And as a way to celebrate this, we even get a picture of the Master Chief with his 3 new best friends: The elites Arbiter, N’tho ‘Sraom and Usze ‘Taham.

Low res textures? I think somebody is in la-la land because after GOW it has some of the best texturing around. Coupled with massive battles (not yet shown) the gfx is up to expectations.

I cant imagine what you would say in a Killzone2 thread.

The things you complain about very much exist in every other high profile game shown, yet I would imagine your preference for some of them allows you to turn a blind eye to these anomalies in favour.

Bungie creates graphics which is in the league of their own, it is incomparable with any other game; they did it with Halo 1/2 and now they go for the third run.

I don't know about everyone else, but I will personally be refusing to play as anything but the host. I'm actually pretty upset that anyone still has to play as that effing Arbiter. If there was one thing I had to pick out about Halo 2's campaign and say I hated it, it was having to play as that mis-shapen penis of a thing called the Arbiter. And I've never even heard of the other 2 additions...

BTW Bioshock got 10/10 in the latest OXM, so halo 3 might not get game of the year just yet :p.

There had to be one person. all I have to say is tons of detail, 13 miles of draw distance, best looking console game.

best looking console game? i take it you havn't seen the killzone trailer..yes there are dodgy textures in that trailer..but its pre-alpha lol..and the models, animations and lighting look better in killzone2...and there are other games with great graphics on par with halo..halo 3's graphics arn't that special...they look very good and arn't bad in anyway..at least its got great gameplay

Sony fans are so incredibly under-represented on this forum you must be very easily distressed by people with other preferences.

The MGS4 thread basically all but gutted the few Sony people who've endured, and I'm betting every Halo thread will be about a bizillion times more calm than that simply thanks to the enormous difference in the MS to Sony ratio here.

In fact, I'm willing to bet that of all the forthcoming negative replies in this thread, the majority will come from 360 owners.

So mind the language, it just makes you look like a tit.

4 player co-op is fantastic news. PDZ, Gears, Crackdown all cut one of my two nephews or myself out of the co-op equation online, so this is obviously absolutely brilliant. I thought the Arbiter was quite excellent in Halo 2 so I don't mind playing as him one bit, but I'm sad to see that they didn't put Half-Jaw in there, playable.

I guess it opens up the possibility that he has a more significant role in the story though and I'm completely cool with that. :)

I am not a big fan of Halo, and to be honest am quite sick of all the media hype about it on gaming sites, bit the coop mode might make me buy the game, as I always wanted a good coop in the game and no game has done a good job yet.
