Page 1 2 >>Argh... if they keep releasing more and more awsome racing games Im gonna have to buy a racing chair and 2 more HD TVs.... :P
PGR is pretty much purely an Arcade racer...
no, no, NO !
PGR3 was the reason I bought an Xbox 360..
so what is it? A mixture of both? That's what I'd say.
it isnt a sim or a arcade racer, its in between so in the end u get a game with great handling and the fun of a arcae game :D i honestly cannot wait for this game
no one ever said they had to cut content, that was sony fanboys, they just said they dont have room for different time cycle textures, bare in mind a city takes ~1GB, that would be ~2GB for night and day textures, and a complete waste of time, since as they did with pgr3, it can be done with lighting and other effects
Regardless, no day/night toggle isn't a huge loss considering what we're getting in return. The amount of additional content and features represented here are a bit step over what we got in PGR3.. so it's pretty hard to get upset regardless.
*Forza Motorsport 2 Demo: 691 MB
*DiRT Demo: 769 MB
*MotoGP '06 Demo: 883 MB
*MotoGP '07 Demo: 901 MB
*Nascar 08 Demo: 589 MB
*Project Gotham Racing 3 Demo: 1.3 GB
*Test Drive Unlimited Demo: 738 MB
Some of these demos include more then one track and over 20+ cars. Also when you factor in that the final product will have way better compression then this build you can see why DVD-9s work so good for this generation.
IMHO the textures for an entire city might be around 500 to 700 MB seeing as this game includes 9 cities and 1 track.

Im am so glad I have a 360
Must have a demo.
Day one purchase, I've skipped on other racers for this one.
And I can't wait to see the new garages, pure eye candy, hope they make it into this sequel (not seen any yet).
