I got interested when I saw Guilty Gear on the main page. Then instead of awesome 2D graphics I saw this :/ Not interested anymore.

If the GG characters weren't all so blatantly gay, I might actually enjoy the series.

Synce: are you crazy? Guilty Gear have some of the most awesome and original character designs ever. Sure, Bridget is totally gay, and if you are on the conservative side i guess Testament would appear to be a tad gay as well (i think he is really cool though) but still, that leaves a whole bunch of cool and original characters.

As for this iteration of the game, i really don't know what to think. The graphics aren't incredible, but they get the job done. What it all comes down to in this game is gameplay, and since GG was rather advanced for a 2d fighter i hope that carries over here.

Well you know what they say...gameplay is the best to show off a game...so I want to see it, not like I am gonna buy it anyway :P

this actually looks decent. im not sure what youre supposed to do, or how it plays, but has potential. then again i was sure Hour of Victory would be good, and that game gets released about 1 yr too soon....

what happened to 2d graphics?

Ummm this is going to sucks. I'm guessing no lower then a 6.0 for it. I saw 'Guilty Gear 2 Overture' and I thought "Awesome! 2D fighting is on the 360!" But nope. Guess not.

This game looks like it is made for Online Co-op =P Also visuals aren't that bad... i was skeptical at first, but these look pretty good... okay not the best but still pretty decent... reminds me of what Berserk had to offer on the PS2 at the time =P I'm gonna have to watch this... then again i'm a whore for anything that comes out from Japan =)

azupanda: So...just cause it's not a 2d fighter it's going to suck? I personally think it's great that they actually have the balls to do something other than another safe bet. I've played Guilty Gear since the very first one on PSX and while i love the guilt gear games so far (except isuka, that sucked noodle) i find this to be a breath of fresh air into a series that's been quite dead for a while.

Does anyone know if Daisuke Ishiwatari is involved in this project? As long as they can capture the style that the fighting games have it should be sweet. I'm not talking about style as in 2D graphics, but the art direction and action. As for now I'm a little concerned...At least the soundtrack should be good. I'm still confused as to why this is part 2 though. What the heck was part 1?

Peking: well, i don't much understand japanese but in the first scans there was a picture of him...So i hope that he is involved in this project. As for this being part 2 i guess that the other guilty gear games are all based on GG: the missing link and maybe that's why they went with X and so forth. I don't know :)

Anyway I wouldnt blame you since Guilty Gear is an awsome 2d fighting game and because there has been no other cool 2d fighting game that been released in the states.

I dont have one because I am leaning edge on so many of the characters. Many of them are just plain badasses.

No, I'm saying I am a bit disappointed seeing as I thought it would be another 2D fighter. From the screenshots given, it doesn't look all to impressive.

There have been plenty of cool 2D fighters in the states, just not recently. I wish they would put the most recent revision on GGXX on the arcade--and maybe start working on GGXXX already, instead of this spinoff stuff.

We all know the chances of this being good are close to nil. Not sure WHY they'd ditch they're tried and true 2D awesomeness for a generic Dynasty Warriors/DMC clone.

I think there's more to this than what screens suggest. It's pretty ballsy slapping a "2" on it if it's just a half-assed bit of fan service.

The decision to call it "Overture" I think reflects a new direction for the series that they're serious about, and I wouldn't imagine they'll put all their eggs in a basket marked simple Chaos Legion clone.

For turning 2d characters into 3d this works very well, Sol looks like Sol and his new costume does look good. Calling is GG2 does also help keep it apart from the GGX series, I guess this is to add more story to the game to, with the world of GG and it's story a game like this will work well. I wonder if other characters from GGX will appear I imagine ky will
