Is it me or do some of those images look really rough round the edges?

First I thought they wouldnt show Assassins Creed on GC, I know they confirmed it, second...AMAZING game for sure!

It's not from the game - look at the logo, that's looking pixellated as well - someone's done some bad resizing on this image!

Well, although the screens have rough edge, I think it still looks great.

yeah was gonna say. look at the logo and you will see the letters look jagged as well. cause theres no way they wouldn't notice how jagged the game looks if it actually looked like this. but yeah it still looks amazing even with the bad resize of the pics.

The quantity of objects, buildings and persons on screen are amazing. Reminds me of Oblivion, but even looks better. Great work. Can't wait to get this game. However, first I'll try a demo ^^

Please, think. If you'd use Internet Explorer with 'auto resize images to fit screen' on, you'll get the same effect. These images are downsized but after that they weren't smoothened, as programs like Photoshop would do.

far too much visible aliasing ... I hope the pictures were pretty small and got resized to 720p - that would explain it

Western developers seem to be giving the guys on the other side of the world a run for their money, with innovative games like Bioshock and Assassin's Creed.

Rough around the edges, like, "My eyes! My beautiful eyes! They are bleeding! Darn those jagged edges that are like crazy everywhere in these screenshots! Oh my eyes!!!"

I see macroing all over the place though, so something is odd with these shots. Past media didn't have these specific issues, although these shots do show some shortcuts (e.g. the armor which looks very flat and low detail now).

The environmental detail is pretty impressive. I like what I'm seeing.

If you looks at the Assasins Creed Logo you'll see that the resizing of the image is 2 blame for the jaggy edges.

This game looks phenomenal

Those are scaling artifacts from using nearest neighbor (simplest scaling) and a scale not a multiple of 2. ie downscaling from 1080p to 720p in nn = teh crunchy pixels.

look closely at the logo at the corner of the screenshots.
