lol @ the crappy reflections in the mirrors...other then that tho, jaw dropping. sadly the gameplay just doesnt interest me, arcade racers FTW.

yeah oticed the mirrors as wel..i mean whats the point if the reflections are shite.....framerate was also bad...even at such slow speeds

Looks good but I dont know why they call it a sim. It looks like it plays more like the PGR series.

The screens look great. NOW thats a cockpit, beautiful.

It really does put FM2 to shame and probably PGR4 aswell, graphically speaking.

The lighting on the dashboard makes it look really good.

Not many gearheads on Gamersyde, it looks like. This is Gran-fucking-Turismo 5, people. The all-time best selling game on PlayStation. I'm drooling here.

guys...this game ain't coming out until fall 2008, so considering that this still relative early build, it's looking really really great.

the physics look duff, but it's not finished yet.

It looks nice tbh except for the mirrors, It seems you PS3 owners are finally getting something worth playing :D just kidding, Resistance looks nice and so does motorstorm altho I don't like the lack of speed in motorstorm but otherwise nice.

I'm not too exited by this movie either. I'm waiting for some direct feed footage, cause this is too contrasty making the sky totally washed out and the cars look overly bright.

That said the interior view does look really nice. However the physics seem as dull as ever and the car2car interaction also seems just as arcady and boring as GT4.

I'm not too keen either on the suzuka circuit background shown here, but it's hard to see how bad it really is when captured on video.

I have a feeling that proclaiming that gt5 will be 1080p is bound to cause some stuff to look and feel not as great as one could imagine...

Not sure why full lock is about a 45 degree turn on the wheel, but otherwise cracking

I think gearheads are a little shell shocked still and wait to see the meat and potatoes of car customization & tuning, physics, damage, quality AI, and online play. GT5 seems to still lack in the same areas we were griping about in GT3 and GT4.

Graphics are groovy though.

The cars look great but the environment looks a bit meh. The opponents still don't seem to have any decent AI. This will probably be just like GT4 but with added online play, prettier graphics and an updated car list.

Heh well if it has online then you don't really need decent AI..... or do you ?

Most gamers, and most people who buy the game, won't even play the game online.

By the way does this have sound or is my flash player playing up?

It does look very nice- but I still have issues. 1)No damage. Come on... don't be touting yourself as a Sim if there's no damage. That's bullshit. 2) Why wasn't the guy holding onto the steering wheel? Didn't they notice??? 3) The 2D trees. I know they're hi-res... but they're still 2D. Get that ironed out if possible. Use all the polygon's you're not using on damage! 4) If your systems aren't all in place- like the mirrors- just turn them off when showing! I KNOW they aren't going to ship the game with those terrible reflections... so just turn it off for now! 5) Forza wins out for me because of the customizable cars. I love painting up my cars... *sigh*

But- the game, dispite all that- looks awesome. I can't wait to give it a ride... for a few hondred hours. I practically LIVED on GT3 back on the PS2. It was almost a sickness. Now we'll see if this will pull me away from Forza (which could totally happen- Forza is awesome- but I'm getting bored with the same old 17 tracks (or whatever)).

As much of an Xbox fanboy as I am, I'm glad to see this game looking so good. I think it looks better based on this, than PGR4 and Forza 2. It will make MS and its development studios work that much hard, and raise the bar. Kudos to Sony and its PS3 for pulling this off. The rear view mirror does suck, and framerate, might not be silky but remember how poor Forza 2 looked just months away from release, and it ended up looking better by release. If this is how good it looks now, just imagine by release date.
