GC07: Exclusive Halo 3 footage

We want to thank Microsoft, Bungie and most of all Brian Jarrard for the awesome exclusivity we just landed since we managed to shoot the 17 minutes long presentation of the single player part of Halo 3. This is the first part that's just supposed to be a small sample of the good stuff to come as soon as we make sure our servers are not melting. It showcases the incredible replay feature on the Tsavo Highway level you"ve all come to know and love already. Have fun :)
Update: First gameplay video showing the very beginning of the level.
Update 2: And the second one is online :)
Update 3: Third part of the presentation is online.
Update 4: Last update for today, with the second to last part of the presentation.
Update 5: And here comes the last part! The full presentation will be available in the next few days.

Everyone singleplayer vid 2!! Giant cov ship flys overhead this game looks incredibly fun to look at AND play. And we still don't even know the story nor have we seen the other levels oh man :o

SP VID 2... this demolishes all other coverage any other site may have had of Halo 3. Great job you guys. You totally kicked every other sites behind :)

And am I the only one that noticed? I have never seen so many "loading done" and "checkpoint done" messages in such a short amount of time. Check SP vid 1.

They could probably just get rid of the notification via an option :)

That means you've yet to see the best Halo 3 video online in terms of all out action :D

The replays do a great job of showing off just how great the game looks.

looks really amazing. the replay feature is something very cool. could come in handy wen your friends think you suck at halo and you prove them wrong with a good replay.

my biggest concern though is how long this game is. having 4 player co-op in single player (see what i did there? :D) wouldnt be fun at all if the game is short. and since it is 4 players it should be even shorter since its much easier to play with a buddy then AI soilders. got high hopes for this one, the 25th is too far away!

So we got the Forge map maker with power-ups editor, the replay feature, coop (online/offline), full fledged solo campaign, medals (achievements). Looks like Bungie is trying to set a new high for the genre and the entire industry. It could really well become the best console FPS ever. I expect Halo 3 to be sold out everywhere, if BioShock is any indication (and it's not nearly as marketed as the Halo franchise).

SimonM7 Prototype dumps a myriad of powers on top of you, half of which cancel eachother out. It's a more is more approach, and comes off sloppy. It also has issues in terms of balancing player empowerment. (4 Hours ago)

digi_matrix Did you actually play Prototype? You can go from running up a building, elbow slamming a tank, cannonballing a helicopter, and then using AoE Finisher on everyone on the ground. No powers. (4 Hours ago)
