Surprise, Microsoft just released a video of the Halo Wars E3 closed-doors demo, and here it comes. The 720p version is not available yet, but we'll keep you updated as soon as we find it.

I'm a little disappointed that the warthogs just sit in one place while they shoot at enemies. Somehow I was hoping for real AI, like some kind of real-time halo scenario builder. Watching marines fight the covenant in Halo CE was much more entertaining than this. I guess that was too much to hope for.

i think this is far more impressive then halo 3 personally. considering its an RTS it looks STUNNING. sadly im not an RTS fan so this probably wont be anything more then a rental...if that...just a question, will you be able to play as the covenant? sort of like you could play as the bad guys in command and conquer?

Looks great and will be an automatic buy for me. I've been a fan of Ensemble's for years.
The only thing I don't like about RTS' is resource management. Building units in the middle of combat always seemed daffy to me. Growing and harvesting resources during combat is just plain annoying.
"Commander, we're ready to take this hill!"
"Can't do that son! I gotta protect my grain fields from the enemy! The hill will have to wait!"
"Sir, Alpha Squad needs reinforcements! They're being shot to shreds sir!"
"We haven't gathered enough nuts and berries to grow another squad son! Alpha Squad is gonna have to hold until the harvesters return!"
"Sir, Covenant forces are laughing at us!"
"They shouldn't be able to do that son! Laughing requires vortex crystals and a special incubator! If they're laughing at us there must be a bug in this level!"

graphics look NICE, still i`m sceptical about rts on consoles without kb + mouse :/
c&c didn`t really convince me (or lotr or that matter)
the stupid thing imho is that it would be NO problem to implement mouse+kb on todays consoles...

It's just like every other RTS.
Graphics and physics are nice, but there is no originality, and AI looks terrible. Note the Warthog doing donuts for a good while.

it really does look very good for an RTS. i liked that part at the end, looks great. a big concern though is how it plays on the 360. i always had trouble with RTS games on console, i hope this is easy.

wow , it takes a lot of bullets to kill elites and grunts , while in HALO 1 , 2 and 3 takes not much.
