Valkyrie of the Battlefield scans

Valkyrie of the Battlefield scans

At just a few weeks from the full unveiling at the TGS, Famitsu gets 2 pages full of new infos and images of Valkyrie of the Battlefield, the very nice looking game from Red Entertainment and Amusement Vision. Better quality scans as soon as possible.
Update: As promised, here are some much better scans.

Looking forward to the better quality scans. I have to say, I do love the art style of the game . Looks interesting also seeing as you can hide behind cover.

Looks like a crazy mixture of Dragon Quest and Call of Duty ^^

seems to be a pretty tactical game and I love the art style

After seeing the Video for this some time ago, it looks pretty damn terrible.

huh video? as far as I know we only had 1 image/screenshot of the game up until now

Oh, please, stop those stupid comments.
Well, I haven't seen any video, too. Where did you see that vid Jolli???
Commented on 2007-08-29 15:12:41
I haven't seen a single video yet, didn't realise there was one. This was only recently announced so I think jolli is confused with something else.

The first pic is just cutscenes it looks like.
Second one leaves me pretty confused about why the environments look like that. Why is a tank driving through a town square in the middle of a city surrounded by trees like that?

öhm, well, why not? A tank normaly means WAR. And WAR also happens in beautiful towns surrounded by trees.... ??

Sure you're not confusing it with that turn based japanese war game, Jolli? Um..... Operation... Darkness? Or some such.

This has only had a single screenshot released before now.

Aye i was.. oppsss, didn't even notice this was PS3 exclusive. :P

It still doesn't look much better, hard to tell obviously, but can't say im impressed, nice art style though.

Surely it not having vampire nazi werewolves should elevate it well above Operation Darkness though. :)

I can't really make out much in those screens. I'll wait to see better scans to get a better idea of what the game really looks like. Hopefully this game will be shown at TGS.

Are these the same people who made ring of fire or was it red ring or something like that for the ps2. I believe it was a mech game that was and turnbased strategy game.

this is going to be terrible. Japanese can't make good action games especially anyone at Sega
Ummm... Isn't this mainly a strategy-RPG? It does have parts where you control the characters in real time instead of turn-based movement, but I doubt it will ever be even near "normal" action games, since your actions are limited by the AP the characters have. It's not fast-paced action, so it doesn't really matter even if it's a little clumsy.

Besides.. Uh... You know, Devil May Cry 1 & 3 are good action games, as is Ninja Gaiden. So... Yeah, your point proven false. :|

I played Devil May Cry and thought it was meh, haven't played Ninja Gaiden yet

Doom_bringer: come on, DMC 1 and 3 are great games and ninja gaiden is even better.

As for this game, the graphics remind me of Eternal sonata. A lot. Does not look particularly impressive though.

Looks hot.

About the game

What's up?
  • Tinks
Tinks All in all though I think the competition has really brought some of the best tv since the 90's when it was Fox vs Nbc (5 minutes ago)
  • Tinks
Tinks Also I think it's just called Muppet Show. Not sure who's involved really (5 minutes ago)
  • Tinks
Tinks Last Week Tonight is solid but I'd never wait for it to come on. (6 minutes ago)
  • Tinks
Tinks True Detective and GoT are the only things I swear by on HBO. Montage of Heck was cool but imperfect (6 minutes ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke It might even be the other way round. HBO is trying to catch up with Netflix with their streaming service HBO Go. (39 minutes ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke @GriftGFX: me neither. But they are definitely competing with HBO. They do produce shows, they produce documentaries, animation series. So I would say they are a TV network AND a streaming service. (43 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I just have a different take. Netflix isn't a TV network, and from nothing they've built a quality line up. I don't like every show on HBO either. (57 minutes ago)
