As good as they look with 'detail', I hope there's more color in the game overall. Part of the signature of the Unreal games has always been crazy colored environs...

I could never really enjoy the unreal series. Hopefully this time it will have something for me to enjoy. We'll see...
I just don't enjoy twitch play shooters that much, not to this degree at least.
The best IMO would be the Halo/CS styles, fast but not too fast.
Unreal always felt a little too random.

I don't think it's random. You just have to learn how to move in a fight. In other games it's not a big deal you just strafe or jump around a little so your not an easy target, but in Unreal dodging is a very important part of the gameplay. You also have to be a quick thinker and be able to handle the fast-paced gameplay, alot of people can't stomach it.
I personally think UT is the most balanced FPS out there and nothing can compete with it, aside from maybe CS which is long overdue for a true sequel.

I don't dislike unreal b/c I'm not good. I hold my own quite easily, I just don't see near as much strategy and team mentality in unreal games.
I'm more of a cerebral shooter fan than a twitch play fan.
unreal isn't about playing smart as much as playing fast and just memorizing patterns that help out. I don't care who you are, when there is enough choas going on, it becomes random to a degree.
We just don't agree on HOW much of it is random.
Just please don't assume others dislike the game due to a lack of talent or skill.

now THIS is my kind of FPS...at least where online is concerned. nice and fast, lots of weapons, lots of maps etc. once i play this i cant see myself going back to halo 3 which is slow by most games standards, but coming off of unreal its gonna move like a snail.

It looks good but where is the light and the colors? Jeez GoW looks brighter and more colorfull in some places.
Contrary to popular belief if think that slow(er) and these fast paced shooters take equal skill to master, just diffrent skill. Slower pace leaves more room for tactics where fast paced shooters tend to open room for more and more complex tactics (since time's not nescessary the deciding factor).
I prefer slower pace, since I don't have the reaction of a 14 year old on cola and usualy play games in the night when I want to be entertained, just lean back and enjoy myself.
Shaka, stop the fanboinism. GoW is still one of the best looking, most played games out there, it's just natural that the same devs will improve on graphics having 1 year more in development.

i find them pictures very boring, i find the art stye very over used and boring, i find the FPS genre burnt out and boring.

Impressive. Most impressive.
But were are the trees? The organic environments?
The dark+lots of in-your-face detail seems to be a staple of Epic.
