When i saw the picture wit the car and the skeleton i actually laughed out loud, for real :D
Looks great though...i kinda want to bitch about the design but...i guess it's really consistent and fits with what they are doing with the engine so freakishly good that i just can't do it.

i love the art style personally. yes its very dark and oppressive, but thats my prefared type of look and feel. the effect on that goo gun looks insane.
I cant stand this game. Just for the fact that 80% of the screenshots arent from the gameplay but more like renders. Its like the characters poses and how everything is so obviously hand placed in position. Well maybe not renders but theyre so touched up they might as well be drawings. ex:
Exactly. We've yet to see many (if any?) native ingame shots and the release is getting closer by the day. That's not a good sign usually.
I'm sure Epic will do a great job on it but knowing how glitched Gears multiplayer still is after a year and several patches it's an indication that they have limited resources (if they didnt, they'd have fixed it once and for all instead of trickling rather useless attempts of fixing it).

I have to agree. Altho the final game will look very good, it's nothing near the same as these pics might suggest. Same with GoW, they showed off an insane trailer and very nice pics but it didn't show gameplay. Kinda like a target render.
edit: The biggest gripe with Epics shots/trailers I have is the insane lightning. Gameplay lightning is just miles behind that.

yeah these screens are definitely touched up. in other words, bullshots. i'm sure it will look great though running on my pc monitor with 4xaa and 1600x1200

What are you talking about? They have released plenty of images and videos, plus the fact that many people already played the game via the beta and loved it.

Graphics wise it looks cool, and its dark and tons of laser, rocket weapons.
But I don't know the gameplay is a bit too fast for me.
I need a demo or something.
Hardcore fastpaced highly skilled DM on the PC, that's what's it all about imho.. I don't even know why they bother releasing it on consoles because it loses so much of it's pace and skill on them.. Probably just for the money, which is understandable.. Aslong as the PC version doesn't suffer from it, I don't care.. Can't wait to play DM and instagib in UT3, it looks awesome!
