This is the next-gen version of their engine. All of the graphics have been redone and this game is only coming to the PS3 and X360. Horrible or not, you can finally do a billion more things like swim through water, climb ladders onto towers, etc. Here's hoping that Koei can finally impress people outside of Japan.

99 nights didn't look amazing, but it looked much better than this. Even if it did reuse alot of its environments, the ones it had where good. This really looks horrible.

But the char models in TENCHU Z....you can compare them to the background texture in screen 3. And here they look ten times better.
glad, I'm no fan of japanese "trash-games".
But I think all DW fans will be happy.
And guys please, take a look at Screen 16 :D

Those screens dont look very impressive, but the latest trailer they released a while back had some pretty cool moves in it. So maybe there is hope.

Yeah, i really do find this crap laughable. I look back about two years and remember Kingdom under fire for the xbox and you know what? That game is AT LEAST on par wit this new DW, yet it's on a system released in 2001 and it's over 2 years old. And this engine is for next gen only? God, it looks like a release title for the xbox. It's right up there with Azurik!
Okay, enough of my exaggerations. But it does look pretty crummy, especially for a title developed exclusively for 360 and PS3.

the games has no depth, its a button bashing hack and slash. if you cant accept that, thats YOUR problem, not mine.

Who cares about what you guys think, you are either a fan of the game or you are not (which i'm guessing most of you aren't), and this game is huge in Japan, so its not really tailored to westerners, at last we don't have to put up with PS2 jaggies anymore, graphics don't look great but they look better which is a start.

also, its a bit of a hypicritical statement on your part since you seem to slate every decent game if it isnt a JRPG.

Haseo: if i'm supposed to pay like 60-70 bucks for a game (yeah i guess games are cheaper in the us, but in sweden they are expensive) i sure as hell want the graphics to be enjoyable. Sure i can buy a game for the 360 that looks like a ps2 game, in fact i've done so a few times...on XBLA, for 10 bucks. If a game is full price then it should both look and play alright if you ask me.

KUF kicked so much ass. It even looks better than this and there are more charaters that are displayed. I find it a hell of a lot more entertaining than DW. KUF > DW, DW > N3, I have to admit.
Anyway why should Koei spend money on the development for this game when it will always sell a bajillion copies in japan no matter if it is named the same as the last title with the same missions and the same characters and the same combos.

Gotta pick up this game along with DW:Gundam. DW6 is looks far more improved compared to the other DW games, and if you already like those, well then it looks like we're in for a good game.
