2 PGR4 images

2 PGR4 images

I don't think I'll ever be tired of posting these images of Project Gotham Racing 4, especially when they look as good and original as these two!

In the first shot? Motion blur.

Hmm looking at the bridge, this is the NY track, right?
Lookslike they bumped the texture resolution in part4, very impressive imo.

Don't worry. Both of your copies will find good homes when this game is released.

Oh btw, Bizzarre Creations released the FULL list of achievments-

Lovely show of the the great stuff you can do with photomode.
The game looks awesome still. PGR4 Can't come soon enough.

Awesome, i whine about there not being any pictures without rain the last time pics of prg4 were posted and here it comes. A sunlit bridge with a little blur on it! Looks pretty good. I like the lighting.

Is the light in the first pic so dissorted by the clounds that the steel beams don't leave shadows on the road? Looks a bit strange to me.
I also agree, that we need gameplay pics. These ones just showcase one aspect of the game: The photomode. Directfeed pic would be cool, but I doubt we'll ever see them.

The bike has reached warp 6. The camera capture isn't fast enough.

Hopefully, capture technology will improve.

This is not even in-game.
It's photo mode, which is in-game, but not real time (game takes a second or so to 'make' the screen).

The game will be very close to this of course, just lower image quality (hope you guys know what that means...)

so why is the bike faded?
Its an option in photo mode to make the cars and stuff faded out to give a sense of immense speed.

what's wrong with me? everbody seems so hyped about the photo mode. I only went there in PGR3 to get the stupid achievement for taking 5 photos or so... I'd much rather see ingame shots that show off the quality while RACING, not running around with a DSLR...

I'm guessing the 1st picture is bullshot and the 2nd one is from photo mode. At least in PGR3 the scaling filter was far less crisp than in the 1st picture. They could have fixed that but there's still almost too much AA for even photo mode.

In any case, detail on the bridge is awesome.

The bike is faded due to motion blur, it's moving very fast while the camera is not panning with it.

What's up?
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer oh yea that, Dragon Age was preloading at the time (5 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Maybe.. it's different for pre-loaded stuff too. (6 Hours ago)
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer @GriftGFX: well Dragon age extracted is suppose to be arround 20 gigs but the download was only 8 gigs or 15 gigs...procedure might be different for newer games (6 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX 45 minutes for this game would have to be like... 3+ megabytes per second. My Comcast can't do that. (6 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX My FFOW DL is almost 12.9 gigs and like 95% done. (6 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Steam appears to download extracted and installed, there's no install process once you finish downloading a game. (6 Hours ago)
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer D2D file right now is 9.2 GB's. I think it was less when I was downloading it (now its extracted) I am pretty sure Steam works the same way. 12 gb is probably the extracted size :P (7 Hours ago)
