Page << 1 2 3 4 5 >>As for comparing it with sigma i do think this looks better. I only played the demo of sigma but i found it to look pretty bad with all the bloom going on everywhere and well...i honestly never thought that Gaiden really needed a remake. NG black still looks good, and most of all, it still plays incredibly well.
And saying NG didnt need a remake is a bit off there.
NG Sigmas purpose is to let others that didn't have an Xbox or didnt got the chance to play NG on Xbox to play it on PS3.
But I have really checked out on these NG2 images carefully, and I can say I expected a bit more, especially when Itagaki said they were going with a bit different art style.
It feels that they have borrowed the NG Sigma engine to make this game.
PS. Ah the leg claws...didn't notice them until ou mentioned it...nice. Kind of like cat scratching hehe.
But any, I can't wait to see the first glimpse of the game in motion though :).
Holy gorefest batman, finally a proper sequel to one of my all time favorite games. Now how about some co-op :)
But I am gonna go with reality and say, it aint gonna happen!
Megido - How can you say this looks "better" than Sigma. If anything it is the same, if not Sigma is looking better...now, but its hard to compare really.

Bloody. Sweet. Loved the first one - but man, that game was hard!
Now give us some pics with higher resolution :)
best regards,
ScarJack
Also, I'm not seeing the "lose their motivation." Oh yes, I went there :P
It looks like i would expect Ninja Gaiden to look so i can't say i'm disappointed. The graphics aren't breathtaking but it get's the job done, and in the end Gaiden is all about the gameplay. ANd about borrowing the sigma engine, maybe it was the other way around? Seems more likely that they would make this engine and then put the original NG content in it rather than the other way around, no? :)
Co-op is a must, its the only thing that holds me back from playing NG over and over. Just imagine Hayate teaming up Ryu & Ayane !!
But f***, that liters of blood... a bit exagerated???
It's hard to judge on those small screens, but to me it doesn't look any better as Sigma!!!

I think that the bloom really adds quite alot in NG sigma, I especially loved it in DOA4 in some levels like the last one with the gele boss. I always took that level and chose Ryu just to see how great the graphics was and it was amazing.
But in NG Sigma in some levels it has that and I think its awesome.
But like I said, the only reason they made NGSigma is maybe for more money (seems so) and a wider audience, which leads to more money, and that other console gamers such as PS3 gamers can enjoy the Ninja Gaiden universe, samething that happened with DMC4.
But yeah the remake from NG to NG Black is that NG Black is a expansion from a downlable content that people couldnt download, so they made a "remake" which actually is a expansion pack on disc so you could buy it at the retails with lower price except full price of a game.
Ah yeh thats a good point, development for Ninja Gaiden 2 would of started long ago.

I always wanted online co-op for Ryu and Hayate together, if not Hayate OR ayane, some other bad ass "ninja" character to go along with the journey of death with me :P.
But heres the thing though, I have seen the images, looks cool, but its all in the motions, in terms of if they have added new weapons, new animations, new enemy animations, new features...etc. all that should be shown in the motion.
I quite frankly doubt we will get to see something long long gameplay footages on NG2, but I hope atleast a long trailer, and not some 20 seconds teaser with NG2 title fades in and its done.
I hope its as cool as NG Sigma trailer once it was shown :D.
As far as i'm concerned this can look exactly like the original Xbox title and i would still go out and buy it if the gameplay was as strong.
Looks much better than Sigma
Looks about the same to me.
