Why do companies put out HD images of Wii games?

I don't remember tons of HD images floating around for every single game in previous generations. Why are they lying now?

I was kind of hoping this game would turn out nice and stylish, but after seeing that ridiculous jet bike in pic 4 i lost all hope.
A poorly implemented and driving game in what i hoped to be the wii's ninja gaiden....... fuck this game.

Ironically, Killer 7 would've made a much better game by just... being on the Wii. The fiddly analogue stick shooting gallery design was just... pretty.. naff really. Shooting with the Wiimote and making the shooting a little more multi layered could've turned out quite interesting.

We're getting Umbrella Chronicles, sure, but that's not quite as arty a prospect.

With this game I've been terrified ever since I heard you get to walk around manually, I have NO FAITH whatsoever in Grasshopper/Suda 51 when it comes to actual gameplay mechanics. Killer 7 threw its hands in the air and basically ignored all convention, but this seems pretty half assed, if videos are anything to go by. INCREDIBLY disappointing, considering it's the perfect platform for his offbeat style of game making.

But then again, K7 turned out better than I thought it would too (yeah, I wasn't particularly impressed with the sound of it), so this might make a turnaround aswell.

Game looks interesting.

But on another note does anyone know how to make Wii games look better on HD telly?

I have a 1080p TV and an official component cable but the graphics still look a bit blurry.

How do you guys overcome this?

Wii games will either run at 480p or 480i upscaled to 480p. On my TV the games look plenty sharp, they're blocky (I can see the pixels).

Which type of TV do you have?
