a queue of three moves spanning three guys is 1 more per guy. that's not what i would call a queue. if u had played KOTOR, you'd know what i mean. in kotor, you can REALLY queue up like 5 or 6 moves for EACH party member in a row, at one time, then watch it all happen and make minor adjustments or change it all together. it was a deeper combat system from what i can tell. 1 queue for each character is Mass Effect's way of continuing the "casually-safe" next gen experience, and i hate that. Bioshock did it, oblivion did it, every game does it now. i hate it. i love the games, i just hate what's going on.ORLY? Unless they plan on rewriting the entire Unreal Engine code, I don't believe they can "fix" the facial self shadows in a month. I just hope it doesn't appear too distracting when we're sitting down actually playing it. just look at any Unreal Engine 3 game. Even Gears. the shadows are great, but up close, on faces, they look horrendous.of course i can, but id rather bitch about something. like, the combat looks crap so far. i thought it looked good in their older vids-- the quick cut vids showing lots of cool combat, but this looks nothing like that. maybe it's just too early in the game, but for whatever reason, the Bioware demonstrator tried his hardest to NOT show any REAL combat-- and what he did show was crap. "I've just loaded this save here, uhh, this is right after a battle of like 50 guys here." "uhhh im gonna use charm to get these guys to run away now" "uhhh" "uhhhhh" it's just crap. what they did show was clunky and actually annoyed me quite a bit.

the boss battle was ridiculous. it looked like they were shooting water guns at each other. and the entire time, he's not even aiming at anything. I think there's a reason they weren't showing any real combat. they botched it. they spent too much time on cut-scenes and not enough on gameplay. I guess we'll find out soon enough...

The game looks great in all aspects, but the one thing that does concern me a little is the battle system. In this video and others that were released a few weeks back, you can see that Shepard isn't really aiming at a particular enemy and even then the enemy is killed by the shot.

You would imagine that the people demonstrating the game have played the game enough to be very good at it. But most of the combat looks like an amateur is playing it. In as much as this game is about the story and all that, they've chosen to go with a shooter-style fighting mechanism and it'd be a shame to see that aspect not work out..

You cant flirt with the guy, so i think it is automatic once you created female character. All girls will be really nice to her :)

The off looking showdows is caused by the Grain Filter (as mentioned in many previews) and this can be turned off, for a sharper image and shadows.

i honestly thought that was the best part of KOTOR :( but to each his own i suppose. regardless, i agree with you, Mass Effect looks gorgeous.

cant wait for this, was always my second most anticipated game after bioshock, and since i have bioshock, i guess it means this is number 1 on my list. visually it looks amazing with some damn fine lip-sync and emotion showing through...although the woman they save in the second vid has pretty low res textues on her uniform...although having lower quality NPC's is kinda expected...since you see them for what, 5 mins of the entire game. combat doesnt look as deep as KOTOR but i prefare my action to be controlled by me. not watched by me....so i prefare it over KOTOR. so far so good.

Don't let it bother you, Getpwned sounds like another worry-wart. And he's not alone, there are plenty of worry-warts around here and when they sing it sounds like a choir on verge of tears! lol!

Don't get me wrong, they're not trolls. In fact they have GREAT enthusiasm for the games they like to over-scrutinize, but there are times that their constant negativity can be a real drag on the discussion.

ME has been hammered by criticism since the beginning over everything from screen caps without post processing to gameplay in various builds of the game.

I have no doubts that Bioware will deliver on ME and in late November all of the doubting would have been forgotten.

I wouldnt call him a troll either, he has some valid issues. However, im more likely to respond better to someone who address both the good and bad for any game. And what irritated me is that there are aspects he likes about the game, but would rather complain.

Somebody probably already noted this, but it was really annoying that she could only run, not walk. I hope they change it so that more forward you push controller stick the faster she moves and vice versa.

Holy shit this looks great, this game is one of the main reasons i got my 360.
This is the only game that stands a chance of beating bioshock for the game of the year title.

It soundedlike she to me. And I've watched it 3 times.
