Am curious how this game will hold up graphically. It's already quite old, yet still seems to look quite good on stills.

The only thing i like about this Orange Box is HL2: EP 2 :)

Its my first time buying a half-life game hope its good, nice screens.

Jees, how many hours of gaming is that then? i've never played half life 2.

owch, although this is definitely going to rock from what i've seen and played before, the first screen looks from a PSP version o.O

i clocked half life 2 in about 15-20 hours...ep 1 is about 6 hours and ep 2 is apparently longer at about 8 hours, so your talking 29-34 hours single player...not counting the final episode 3 that i guess we'll get through d/l

then of course is the 3-4 hour "portal" and the potentially infinate team fortress 2.

as many have said before, best value for a game EVER. cant wait. and i've played halif life 2 both on xbox and PC already

Will all 5 games be on 1 disk, or will it come with 5 different disc.

Awesome...gonna buy this for sure...but on what console is still uncertain.
Does any one know if HL2 games will have online in this box or is it only TF2?

One problem with these images are that...too many jaggies, but on the trailers, and couple of old screenshots it looks MUCH better...like these ones

I hope these images are gonna be like when the final game is out, and the ones Blim posted are like bad nightmare compressed :P

This will be my first HL2 game purchase as well, and I have played couple of minutes on PC long time ago, it was fun, and I was surprised how good the AI was and how cool the source engine worked.

You pay a full price for ONE game but when you get Orange Box its 5 games with sooo many hours, its a great deal for sure.

boy those pictures are horrible. to be quite honest, i thought the half-life 2 engine was a bit outdated when the game was released, visually.

it is a good game, although i've had episode one since its release, and i'm maybe a quarter way through. i haven't played it for months. its good, but not fabulous. i think some people want it to be the best thing to happen in gaming so badly, that they believe it is the best thing. for me, the halo series and WOW take up MUCH more of my time.

The game did look really great when it was NEW on PC, but it is dated looking now, yea. They added new effects to the old game (and to the new episodes), but the engine is really showing its age.

Still, I'm looking forward to playing through HL2, and E1 on my 360 for a change (which used to run great on my PC, but over time, Valve has butchered the engine, so now it runs pretty bad), with added effects no less.

TF2 will be cool too.

Testament to just how gorgeous it was when it came out.
And you can't judge it on texture rez/poly count. It has a certain je ne se quois (but I don't know what it is)

I keep hearing about how Half Life is the greatest shooter ever, but I suck at shooters. The only ones I've ever liked were Metroid Prime, Halo 1, and BioShock. Would you still recommend The Orange Box to me?

Strange question. Have you played half life 1 or hl2 before? If you suck you can always begin on easy. The puzzles in hl2 are quite simple but for starters they can be difficult.

Half life 2 was my best sp experience ever (on pc). It was so damn good it felt I was really in the game. The replay value is a bit lower than the first half life because of the lower difficulty setting but I've still finished the game for about 7 times. Good thing there will be a higher difficulty setting (extra hard) so I can play the first half life2 for the 8th time :P

I already have Half-Life 2 for the PC and have been through it already but I still plan on getting The Orange Box for Playstation 3. Can’t wait.

I've playd HL1+the two expansions and HL2 original on the PC, and a little ways in the xbox1 version of HL2.

I might just have to buy this just to replay HL2 and the new for me ep1 and 2. Funnily enough I thought Ep1 meant the core game HL2. They shouldhave named them Ep2 and 3 imo.

Or HL2, HL2.1 and HL2.2 (though that would confuse folks even more).

I really like the whole new menu GUI Valve uses.. They use something simular in the TF2 beta on PC right now aswell.. It looks cool and is also very easy to use for newbies..

I really hope the Orange Box will do well on the consoles.. Valve deserves the succes..
