Fans of 2D Shmups rejoice, the genre is still far from dead as you'll be able to see in this trailer of Söldner-X, to be released on PC at the end of 2007 and one day hopefully on PS3 too.
art direction looks a bit crap. ship design is poor, backdrops are crude and lack any perspective and the explosions look weak as well.
Ikaruga set the bar pretty high for schmups i'm afraid.

This game looks fab, its like a HD Gradius and thats good. I wish they had spelt it Röcket though :D
