While we wait for a PC single player demo which will be available thursday, here are some new images from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. My graphic card escaped from my computer when it saw them and left a note telling me it will not be good enough for this game.
Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)
Loakum By FAR, the upcoming Game of Thrones King’s Road was the Game of the Show! It plays like God of War Ragnarok! :) (> 3 Months ago)
Loakum @Driftwood Awesome! I’m loving it! It does show a much crisper picture and the frame rate looks good! I was playing Stella Blade and Dragonball Soarkling Blast! :) (> 3 Months ago)

Obviously im picking up the PC version since my 8800 is hungry.
The 360 version looked incredible, and I find it hard to believe you actually played it...
but really, this game is still amazing and i'm really looking forward to it.

My gamertag is edgeofthecosmos, and yes I did play it.

I can accept the AA is a good deal better in these shots, but that doesn't mean the 360 version looks 'terrible' and the PC version looks '10 times better' by any means...
It won't look any better because it already looked nearly this good in the beta...
Here are some 360 shots from IGN, which are obviously from a capture card and even suffer from IGN's typical compression (shots are half the size in kilobytes from IGN but higher resolution than these PC shots)...

Besides the extra AA and possibly some extra AF, I can't see any difference in these shots. The gun models and textures are 100% the same...
But as far as in-game assets, shaders, and everything, they're identical. You run the PC version at 1280x720, 2xAA and AF and at 60fps, that's the 360 version.
But I think that when you choose the class you want and their gear looks cool, later on you can customize its weapon specials...I am a assault rifle class fan sohopefully they already go the cool light gear.
It's not as simple as that, because the consoleversions most likely have the texturequality on medium where on the PC you can put them higher.. I've played the Xbox 360 beta and most textures upclose although still looking good were blurred, not as sharp/detailed as in these PC screenshots.. The reason is the Xbox 360 and PS3 simply don't have the memory to handle such high resolution textures..
It's as simple as that because it's THE FACTS. They wouldn't release shots of the PC version without texture detail maxed, that's not how marketing works. Seriously, compare the textures between the IGN shots I posted and these, there's no difference at all.
I'm so sick and tired of PC gamers these days, in constant denial of reality and won't do any research for themselves. PC gamers these days = console gamers in the 90's...
your so right...
Too bad bad I only got to play it for 3 days. F-ing Red ring of death.

A high-end PC obviously can handle higher quality textures, higher resolution, and more AA and AF then the consoles.. Obviously those things make the game look better on a high-end PC.. Other then that, the versions are probably the same..
And there's nothing strange about that, because you cannot expect a 300-400 euro/dollar gameconsole based on by now 2 year old tech to keep up with the latest high-end PC tech.. Infact it's pretty amazing what a Xbox 360 and PS3 can still produce in the graphicsdepartment.. 90% of PC gamers don't have a PC that outperforms those consoles yet.. But the high-end does..
It's all so obvious and makes perfect sense, yet some people keep kidding themselfs..
You're the one kidding yourself, I have nothing more to say on the matter. You can't be reasoned with.
Also, PLENTY of publishers release screenshots and videos of PC games without them being on their highest possible output settings. THAT is a fact. It happens all the time.
I don't get the generalizations against PC gamers either. It's really not so far fetched to think that the definitive version of this game (and many other cross platform FPS games in particular) will be on the PC. It's not a personal insult, it's an educated estimate of where the PC game should be .
But yeah.. I'm going to have to go with Inflatable on that one. The textures are obviously sharper in the PC shot he linked, versus the console version in the same post.
