The Tony Hawk games series started more than 8 years ago, and during all that time there has never been any more serious threat to Neversoft than SKATE. After years of over the top skating, EA's game is a real novelty with a much more simulation-ish gameplay. It takes quite some time to get used to the controls, but nailing a trick is so much more rewarding. Much recommended!
The version of the game I've received is only in French, so you'll have to suffer through the horrible dudding. Sorry about that.

really love the game. after the TH demo I will definitely NOT get the new TH game. Skate is so much better and gives you a really natural skate experience. I have been playing over LIVE with some friends that I usally go to the skatepark with and it's been almost as fun as really going there. EA has really done well with this game. Hopefully some features are added to the second part (like getting off your board and walk around) and the campaign will last longer than 5-6 hours...

Finally a real skate game!!!! I was tired of that bullshit called Tony Hawk. The game experience in this game is so much realistic , and the graphics are cool. For those who actually are skateboarders will agree with me that Skate is so much better than TH!!!

The game is dead cool but this is also the exact same thing we get in the demo. so its just 'first 10 minutes of the demo'.
would have been nice to see the story mode AFTER the demo ends.

The game play great but it could sure use some meaningful objectives to liven up the fun. It gets boring after a while...and very frustrating at times.
