Xbox 360

Microsoft today released these images of Ninja Gaiden 2, supposed to be from the Tokyo Game Show. We didn't have them in the database, and other sites doesn't seem to have recieved them back then either, so we'll just let you enjoy some 1080p greatness a month after the unveiling.

I've never been so letdown by a Developer tech abilities.

I should've took DOa4 and DOAX 2 as percursors, but my god if this game doesn't disappoint and underwhelm in the GFX area. The lightning renderer is just crap.

The game looks like it's gonna be awesome but the GFX....DMC4 for example, just murders this, and this is an exclusive title.
Please dont turn this into dmc vs ng.

someone over at Team Ninja really seems to love the 2D bitmap blood - yea , yea I know it's an early version
What's wrong with 2D blood? As long as it serves it's purpose and looks really good like now I don't care, the game is too fast to notice it anyway, like in pic 4.

Maybe they will change the model or art style untill the game ships but I DO expect it to look better. It won't be as good looking as NG was at it's time, since we know that we can expect something like DOAX 2 but hey I don't care. There are so many NG fans out there who love the gameplay that it will sell regardles of maybe a bit dated graphics.

Seriously, stfu.
EDIT: BANNED -- if the trolling weren't bad enough, you're trying to ignite a flame war -- STOP. Your opinion doesn't count more than anyones.

No fuck you. I've been a fan of Team Ninja's work since DOA on the Saturn, so I think my opinion of their games counts more than yours. Excuse me if I don't like the idea of Itagaki selling out to MS and am disappointed with how much they're getting out of their console.

Their FIRST PS3 attempt puts this to shame, and that was just a port.

im a huge fan of Team Ninja and i have no worries with this game because i know Itagaki knows how to make a quality product. DOA4 looked goergous for the time when it released and was said by many to be the best looking console game, DOAX2, while not the greatest game, was visually geourgeous. NGS does not put this game to shame, watch both games played side by side and youll see that NG2 looks arguably better overall, and that is comparing a finished game to one in development. Sigma was a remake, they had all the time to polish the visuals before they ever showed it off because they really didnt have all that much work to do with it, NG2 being an entirely new game, ofcourse alot of the visual polish will come later.

As for them selling out to Microsoft? WTF! since when has Itgaki NOT been a heavy supporter to Microsoft, he has since DOA3 and will continue to be, Having this game published by microsoft just means he has more resources and better marketing to work with. If exclusivity is what yanks your chain, this game was going to be 360 exclusive eitherway.

Looks awesome. Graphics look great to me. They just need to add self-shadows and have the environmental shadows affect the characters now.

NGS wasn't just a port; they remodeled many of the enemies and main characters, but the environments had the same geometry as the Xbox versions except now they have new textures, which allowed them to focus more on character models.

I'm also pretty sure synce is a sony fanboy. He's been making troll remarks at other sites such as TeamXbox as well. He even went as far as making up stories about how MS shipped his xbox360 to the wrong house and he never got it back, even though he claimed he got it back in a different post in a previoud thread. lol.

I do kind of agree with Dunpeal, TN haven't shown the same technical capablities this gen as they did last gen and I am wonder if it had something to do with them having better hardware last gen. (PS2 vs Xbox)

This gen there is such a small difference between the PS3 and 360 that perhaps TN have lost their advantage.

That doesn't make any sense considering that NGB looked better than any Xbox game out there for a long while. It's like GoW on Xbox 360 now, it's still one of the best looking games despite it's age.

Seriously, stfu.
Aside from his Itagaki/Billy-boy remark, is there anything else wrong with what he said?

I mean, I definitely agree with what he said about the visuals; it is simply unimpressive. It's not bad looking, but I certainly wouldn't go so far as to say it's good looking.

ontopic: this looks quite cool, perhaps a bit too red for me overall... the only thing i really don't like is the plastic like shineyness all games tn develop seem to have.

I agree. Blood don't really add anything to the gameplay. It's just for show, I don't mind it though.

I also agree with the comments about the graphics. It's not as impressive as Ninja Gaiden was back in its days. Everything we've seen has been done before, and better. The character models don't even look that good. I think DOA4 looks better. NG2 will be their second game on the 360 and I expect the final product to look way better than this. Even the multiplatform DMC4 looks better imo.

Of course, the gameplay is where it's at and hopefully it'll also be next-gen and not just a slightly improved NG1.

Looks great!
It is going to be one more bloody ninja-style slasher.
There are not so many games like it, as I'd like to
- HS - but it sucks, DMC4 - great game, and...thats all. I am looking forward to release.

I applaud all who says this looks unimpressive, you really have sold your selves to the hype machine of the "everything should look like the killzone 3 trailer"

Seriously, do you guys have any idea on how this shit works ? Considering its only as they say "40% complete" it is stunning and if this was 100% complete it would still look just as stunning

And if you dont like the art style, why even look at the team ninja games you should know by now what they are going to look like.
