Caution : this news is Fragile

Namco Bandai announced the development of a new role-playing game in the "dungeon-crawler" genre for the Nintendo Wii. It is called Fragile, and its official website has just opened its doors. Almost no details are available for this title, but as soon as we know something, we will tell you guys.

Ah yes, the fruits of being the top selling console in japan are beginning to crop up. I'm surprised we've heard so little about The Crystal Bearers though. :(

Looks ok, more interested in seeing something on the Wii Dragon Quest.

And like Simon says what happened to FF:CC

Neat style. Too bad it's a dungeon crawler.

This could be pretty big for the Wii if it turns out to be a decent game. However, if it's a horror or adventure game, I don't see this kind of game selling particularly well in any territory...(even bigger franchises in those veins don't do too well anymore)

About the game

What's up?

Melmoth <- Sean Young scene. (11 minutes ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth @MrWhite: yea, i think they did a really good job with that scene. At first i tried to remember the shots of her from the original to figure out if they re-used footage before the angles changed more. (11 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite @Melmoth: Yeah, that's a good point. It's still noticeable, but it's literally so close that any kind of anomaly will be spotted and give that uncanny valley. The rendering though is flawless. (16 minutes ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth as for Tarkin, i think they should have gone with the stand-in actor with some make-up/prosthetics. just looking at him in the making-of material he looks close enough. (21 minutes ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth @MrWhite: she was kinda stiff/robotic in the original BR too. Like a doll, which they obviously aimed for, which helps sell the 2049 version. (23 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite The other scenes that had all CG models of the actors and actress were so well done, I didn't realise it was entirely all rendered. Joi for example is almost completely CG overlaid with the actress. (25 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite Tarkin in Rogue One looked great right up until he started moving and talking. Then it just looked ridiculous. BR's Sean Young is a bit similar, but its only really her mouth moving that I find off (27 minutes ago)
