Disgaea 3 scans

The latest edition of Famitsu magazine offers a lot of visual material for fans of the upcoming Disgaea 3 on Playstation 3. The charm from this series seems to be back in full force even if the developers aren't willing to change from the (old-looking) 2D sprites. The european release date has not been confirmed yet.

Big busted ninja standing over a prinny strapped on to a piece of wood? Nasty.
Any ways, i guess it will be a good strategy-rpg but i'm still dissapointed in the graphics.

The graphics don't look that bad actually. I recently bought every NIS game, and most of them look much worse when played on an HDTV (Odin Sphere and Grim Grimoire fared best). Of course this game could look even better, but as long as there are lolis I'm not complaining

synce: come on, those poly counts would make a PS2 embarrassed and the sprites aren't exactly high res either. The design is fine and i don't mind any of their aesthetical choices but they could have put a bit more in to it from a technical standpoint. I'm sure it will be a good game, but still. It looks pretty 99 if you ask me :P

No, the Disgaea serie is good as it is. What is needed is higher resolution sprites for HD rendering, that's all :)

I cant get this game fast enough! I just hope its still for ps2...I cant not own a new disgaea! I do hope they up the res on the sprites though. Thats my only gripe Ive always had with the series. perfect 10 otherwise.

Oh forgot it is only ps3...(cries) there are now 2 games I want that are on ps3. MGS 4 and Disgaea 3...Maybe I can have Commander Shepard foward me a few credits for a ps3, so I can get those games then send the system back to the store when Im done, then put the credits back in the 360! (lol)

This is not what I bought a PS3 for.
A game like this should be done in 1080p with super sharp, deatiled sprites.
It's just lazy developers.
