Bungie has updated their website with a batch of new images from the Heroic Map Pack for Halo 3, which will be released on December 11th. It will launch with a price tag of 800 points and feature 3 new maps, and if you're patient you can grab it for free this spring.

Ridiculous prices. 200-400 points would be better and more reasonable.

800 points for new levels is WAY too steep. Should be free imo.

As long as they become free in a reasonable time frame, whatever they charge for them I couldn't care less.

i think its a rip off that they charge for these maps on such a popular game like halo. they are too money hungry. didnt they get enough money at launch? seriously, its one of the fastest selling games and they charge for 3 maps. they might as well just give it out for free because people will see that the game is worth buying if they can get free halo content.

Don't play this enough to pay 800 points for 3 maps.
I'll wait until spring when im at a disadvantage due to the saps that will have bought the maps and mastered them... :/

I waited for those gears maps and I'll do the same for this. As much as I love the Halos, paying that much for 3 maps is a bit of an insult, despite their quality.
I remember good old Ghosty Recon on the xbox, didn't they release maps for free back then...

Wow the first native resolution shots of H3 ever released, and then a few gigantuan bullshots as usual.
As above, I waited for the gears maps and have no interest in buying these. Had I bought the gears maps I would have been greatly annoyed by the walk-in-walls glitch in two of them (Subway and Bullet Marsh). They charge you money for an untested cheater-fest and never fix them later. I have Seriously in gears after a year of playing and warts-and-all I love that game, just pains me how Epic is abusing our trust and their new money-printing baby.

800 points does seem kinda steep considering it's only three maps. One of the maps is made more for Forge too. Honestly, I expected a little more out of Bungie per map pack. Especially after Call of Duty had 16 maps included out of the box and they were all really intricate and stellar.
