BF: Bad Company artworks

Electronic Arts and DiCE released these five artworks of Battlefield: Bad Company. Looks like there will be some variety in the various levels.

Well, have seen better artworks, but number 3 is very sweet. Like it.

Last one isn't artwork, it's a very basic render. If it's artwork, then well done.

the last one, is an mockup of a level where the concept artist gets a render of the level, and they draw over it so that way, it looks good and the perspective is correct

Pretty poor for the industry standards. I like the last one, though its painted on top of a 3D scene.

these do a very good job of showing the atmosphere they are going for, they may not be the most detailed ever, but they really don't need to be to do their job.

From an art students perpspective, I go to a college where a lot of people could do better renders than this in just a few days

No doubt, but when you're at art school (I have a BFA myself) you're generally surrounded with loads of talented people.

I have a feeling this didn't take someone a few days though. It isn't very solid, but it is just solid enough to get a feeling for the environment and that is ultimately the goal.

  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer oh yea that, Dragon Age was preloading at the time (3 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Maybe.. it's different for pre-loaded stuff too. (4 Hours ago)
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer @GriftGFX: well Dragon age extracted is suppose to be arround 20 gigs but the download was only 8 gigs or 15 gigs...procedure might be different for newer games (4 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX 45 minutes for this game would have to be like... 3+ megabytes per second. My Comcast can't do that. (4 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX My FFOW DL is almost 12.9 gigs and like 95% done. (4 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Steam appears to download extracted and installed, there's no install process once you finish downloading a game. (4 Hours ago)
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer D2D file right now is 9.2 GB's. I think it was less when I was downloading it (now its extracted) I am pretty sure Steam works the same way. 12 gb is probably the extracted size :P (4 Hours ago)
