thnx namco
Could be a good game but most tales of game haven't been that grate, Tales of Abyss was the last good ones, and before that a snes game. they just spam out them to much and they get to little focused and polished.
Weird how this game, N-B's premier RPG series, took a HUGE step back from Eternal Sonata.
same publisher but not the same developing team.
I dunno, it's an almost impossible situation MS is in.. They can only win over Japan if they offer more of these games exclusivly then Sony or Nintendo do, and that is very unlikely to happen.. Bassicly MS has to spend lots of money on something they can probably never win over.. All they can do I guess is persist and hope for the long term, keep spending and be patient..
But if you ask me it's a lost battle, because people buy a Western console for Western games and a Japanese console for Japanese games (especially in Japan).. It makes total sense, and I think that's virtually impossible to chance unless MS completly pushes the Japanese consoles of the market (which is not gonna happen)..
I watched the low resolution streaming video, and to me, it could have been a PS2 video. Downloading the high res one now.

Very not graphic focused game I can say for sure, it looks somewhat bad in fact specially animations who is very horrid.

Looks just as good as Trusty Bell if you ask me (bit more simplistic though), the cities look quite nice, personally I thought Trusty Bell looked like someone had thrown up smarties in some places, I mean I like colour in games, but there is such a thing as too much.
Eternal Sonata got boring after many houres.... well lets see
Actually looks more like Idol M@ster art wise that Trusty Bell if you ask me.
WTF? Apart from a few dodgy textures this looks at least as good as Eternal Sonata, in fact the actual animation is possibly even better. (I have only played the demo and watched videos so maybe later in the game it looks even better than this but then all we've seen of this is this video too.)
So basically it's a PS2 game in HD. Graphics of course aren't everything, but I can't see how you could argue these graphics are on par with other 360 or PS3 games (except maybe something like Beautiful Katamari).
This series is for kids or young teenagers... generic story, generic characters, the one on PSP is not very good

Seriously if you think this looks like a HD PS2 games then you need to go look at a PS2 game again.
I'm not saying its amazing or anything but PS2 like is going way too far.
Plus, of course this game uses shaders, it just doesn't use realistic ones.
The textures are PS2 grade, for one. Which is several times worse than Eternal Sonata. Modeling of both the environments and characters are far inferior too (polygon counts). Finally there's basically no shaders I can see whatsoever, but Eternal Sonata didn't have many either.
