I disagree and many non Japanese people would also (as they wouldn't know who Mushashi Miyamoyo is), but this game is directed at Japan in general so I guess some of what you say is true.
hmmm, doubt that...Musashi is far more famous person in Japanese history than most videogame characters...Musashi by Yoshikawa is actually one of the best selling Japanese books. Also, shenmue is not really a big deal to many outside the hardcore anymore...anybody he reads a little up about miyamoto will realise its an infinitely better premise for a story

Yea thats what I said famous in Japan, but most westerners don't know of him or couldn't care less.

Yes instandly reminded me of Samurai Champloo as well. Guess it's cause it's playing in the same time and it's with rap. Oh and the fighting looks very good, altho the animations are a bit off here and there (during cutscenes).
Very nice indeed, just hope they release outside of Japan as well.
