RTL Games and Synetic unveil the first series of images for their racing videogame Crash Time, in development for the Xbox 360 and PC. The similarity with Burnout from a style point of view is pretty clear, there's even a formula one! The player takes part of an elite police squad called Cobra 11 and must complete various challenges varying from a helicopter chase to reconaissance runs in tanks.
All of this stuff is splitted into missions with three difficulties, forty tracks and hundreds of kilometers of road. Fans will be able to play with a friend on a same console in split screen or watch their awesomeness via the replay system built in-game.

A little bit like the australian series Stingers, but with far more car chases!

The graphics were amazing, that's for sure. Replay value was awfully limited though and mission variety was also limited. The City wasn't completely open which was a shame. You could not run over people, and car selection was also limited. The story was bad too.
Basically I think it was an awesome technical achievement, one of the best looking racing games last gen, it had lots of potential but failed by accumulating way too many little annoyances. Replays were indeed awesome. They were making a Wreckless 2, but it only released in Japan I believe.
Having also played Midtown Madness on Xbox, the difference between the two games was clear, and the quality of the gameplay was clearly something Wreckless could not even come close too. Still, an OK game and I would like to see a GREAT sequel on the 360, but I'm not counting on it.

I heard about Wreckless 2 in Japan as well, but it looked very similar graphically.

Only something like Richard Burns Rally, Stuntman and Driver4 had as good a physics model as Carmageddon. Racing physics are a different issue and in that department Forza, Forza2 and Richard Burns Rally are superior and untouched.
If this is anything close to the original Stuntman it still has a chance, but if it's like Stuntman Ignition it's lower than the stinkiest of doggie turds, Ignition being slightly lower than that.
