Day one purchase for me. I'm trying to control my impulse purchases on XBLA, but I need this game (again). It's like Rez.. both dreamcast classics that I don't think I can resist owning twice. Oh well.
No it's not.

[edit] So thats what TATE means .. :S
Wow.
Any doubts I had have been replaced by sheer anticipation. TATE + my monitor stands ability to turn 90 degrees.
ZOMG!
It looks a little weird though. Like it's 3:4.. it just seems like it should fill more of the screen in that mode. That's so cool that they've included this as an option though.
Must buy.
I dont understand... apart from the resolution fixes (?), isnt this essentially the same game that was on the Dreamcast and Gamecube?
<i>"...we all hope we'll be able to play this as soon as possible."</i>

Myself included :)
However, I wish they would have made the background slightly dynamic to reduce chances of burnin, maybe a slow fade in and out of mild colors would have been good.
I got mesmerized by that rotated image. Damn. I can't wait.
Shitty graphics.
Shitty graphics.
I bet is going to be an overpriced one at that.
Really?
lol
I remember this game, i still have it for gamecube, and i had to tilt the screen sideways to make it full screen, and then when you tilt the screen the controls tilt as well lol, was kida frostrating, pressing left and it goes up instead, the game was ok, i play it every now and then but i wont be getting it again when i still have it...sorry man no way lol..
Anyway, this game is an absolute classic and I will definitely buy this version.
Whoever said it has shitty graphics is blind AND has not played this game. Holy shit is what I tell myself when I play this every time on the Dreamcast, using a normal TV of course. Now it's nice to play this on a high res display with AA and all that, and it'll be perfect over running this on an emulator.
Those gamecube prices are insanely stupid. Even higher than Radiant Silvergun.
I think this is awesome and Id like to salute Microsoft and treasure for bringing this great game to the XBLarcade. any news on co-up?
Alright gents, this is what i like! Ikaruga is the first Naomi game being ported to XBLA... this is great news.. and opens the doorway for even more Noami games!
