Fanatics pinball machines while you see, helpless, the closing of your favorite arcades? Perhaps SouthPeak has the solution with its videogame Dream Pinball 3D intended for Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii and PC. Programmed for a spring 2008 launch, it includes six unique machines. The Wii version makes use of the Wiimote whereas the DS build uses its touch screen in order to accentuate the immersion factor. What that gives one cannot say, but I like what I see if only for nostalgia purposes.

it'll be neat shaking the wiimote to get the pinball machine to shake. btw who actually shaked those pinball machines in real life I always see shaking the machine implemented in pinball videogames but I never did that to a real pinball machine.

I did, and that was one month ago (or less). Sometimes, the ball(s) get stuck in the machine, and you have to hit/shake it in order to continue and unjam it. True story.

I've seen people do it, saw a kid tilt a machine once when he dropped the end (and it was LOUD)

Looking good on the PC and DS side of things, not so much on the Wii (talking graphics only here). Not sure why the textures are so low res but it's definitely not a hardware restriction, as the Xbox with less RAM had pinball games that looked better.

Don't think the DS visuals are really that bad actually. It's the Wii-ones that disappoint me.
@Positive commenters: did you know there already is quite a decent pinball game for the Wii? The only downsize of Gottliebs Pinball Classics is it's a bit hard.
