Yes they also had Virtua Athlete 2K. They all got bad scores but I enjoyed playing them. Now Doing the 100meters or relay races online would be fun!

For the same reason they make games based on movies... To cash in on the franchise...

I rented World Class Track meet on PS1 because the graphics were pretty awesome. Played quite a bit of it with a friend. My arms hurt SOOO much after a few days that I stopped playing the game and never played one of these since.

not bad graphically, not played a game like this since track and field back on the psone (i was unbeatable on it) very fun with friends. if this has all the usual events (javelin, discus, shot, 100m sprint, 100m hurdles, swimming, tripple jump, long jump, high jump, pole vault, and that one with the ball on a chain) plus some variations as seen in the screenshots (shooting?!?) then i might give it a go. been a while since a games given me blisters.

I LOVE Olympic games for the simple fact that this is the one type of game where I find button mashing fun.

Bad graphics and I can already tell the gameplay will be from the 80s.

Other than the lack of variation in character models, game looks really nice

I'll buy it if priced accordingly (39.99-49.99). I love these button mashing games.

sega should surprise us all and actually make a good game for once since the dreamcast.

Everyone who is saying that all the characters look the same, remember its work in progress, they will add new characters eventually.

If it's made by the same team as Athlete Kings (and is in 60FPS like that game too) then it could actually be awesome! Does anybody know which team are making this?

Probably not the same people, the company broke apart too much, the odds are they are gone

I'm pretty convinced that Sega doesn't have the freedom anymore to take as long on their games as they used to. I think that is why their games are suffering

*looks at pic #9*

Those people look exactly the same. Graphics aren't that great either.

I seem to remember that Sega had surprisingly short development times with their games compared to some other companies. Everyone praises Nintendo but until recently didn't they only release about 1 or 2 big games a year? Whereas Sega seemed to release stunning games virtually every month, back when they had their own consoles I mean. By the way, I found out who's making this and it's not any of Sega's teams, it's Eurocom. It's so sad that Sega's become more of a publisher than a developer these days. :(

  • Zomoniac
Zomoniac @dingleberry doesn't matter, if you score with both shots and defend successfully all game it's still a win. Shouldn't have been 6-2 to Liverpool as shots mean nothing if they don't go in. (5 Hours ago)
  • dingleberry
dingleberry Birmignham 2 shots on goal, 11 men behind the ball. Should have been about 6 - 2 to Liverpool. Rafa's going nowhere. (6 Hours ago)
  • Slabs
Slabs @blmbox: Keep Rafa At Pool. Love him talking bollocks. Also refs are having too much influence on results, we need video refs ASAP, the time "lost" would be less than player protests now! (7 Hours ago)
  • blmbox
blmbox I've got to say, it's funny to see Liverpool resorting to cheating in order to pick up a point against one of the league's lesser sides. Surely Rafa's days are numbered? (7 Hours ago)
